Abstract

A container with tamper-evident seal comprising a container member, lid removably mounted over the container member and a tamper-evident seal member provided on said lid, said container member having a container body provided with a flange extending proximate the mouth of said body, said flange having a recess at its upper portion to define a seat thereon, said mouth having a minute lateral extension to define a latch thereon, said lid having a depressed top wall and a flange spaced from said top wall, the gap between the top wall and the flange defines a catch to fit into the latch of the container body, the tip of said flange is seated on the seat of the flange of the container body, said tamper-evident seal member is defined by a tearable strip which is held on said lid by thin ribs, said strip having a lateral arm at its upper portion.
