Abstract

The present utility model discloses a lunch box comprising a generally rectangular container body having a base and a generally tapered wall structure consisting of opposed sidewalls and opposed end walls extending upwardly from the base defining a compartment therein with a peripheral flange extending outwardly around the upper portion of said wall structure, and an associated rectangular cover having a raised middle portion and a raised peripheral flange in sealing engagement with the peripheral flange of said container body, the space between said raised middle portion and said raised peripheral flange defining a rectangular channel, a pair of locking clips pivotally connected on opposed sides of said cover adapted to be lockingly engaged to the container body, the raised middle portion of said cover being provided with stiffening rib around the edges thereof and a curved diagonal rib bridging the corners of said stiffening rib.
