Abstract
This utility model discloses a portable sewage treatment plant that can be easily transported and transferred to different locations where the sewage treatment plant is required. The sewage treatment plant comprises at least one equalization tank and at least one aeration tank wherein wastewater discharged from an industrial plant is treated by an activated sludge process using an aerobic, sequencing batch reaction (SBR) treatment method. Both equalization and aeration tanks are made of fiber-reinforced plastic material which makes them easy to assemble, easy to repair, and weigh considerably less than metal tanks such that they can also be easily transported. The SBR treatment method is facilitated by a control module that includes float switches and a programmable logic controller (PLC). The sewage treatment plant can also include a sludge digester tank wherein excess sludge is sent for further treatment.
