Abstract

The present utility model relates to the process of producing Tilapia dried fish comprising the steps of: selecting fresh fish; washing of fish in running water; scaling the fish and removing the entrails and fins; washing again in running water; marinating the fish for 4-5 hours; drying marinated fish; and packing and labeling the dried fish. Based on the shelf-life analysis, the tilapia dried fish is consumable within 60 days. As to the cost and return analysis, result of the study implies that commercializing the product can be feasible and realistic source of additional income.
