A large diameter compass, comprising a solid shaft provided with a knurl having a pointed end, a rectangular shaped bore provided at a predetermined position of the shaft, an elongated blade slidably mounted on the rectangular shaped bore, a clamping member attached to one end of the blade, a wing bolt screwably mounted on the clamping member, and a securing bolt screwably mounted on the shaft.
