Abstract

The present utility model relates to the process of producing lightweight cement-based composite from Bakong (Hanguana malayana) stem comprising the steps; milling repeated three times, sorting, sieving, and pre-wetting the milled stem with water, draining excess water from the milled stem, mixing milled stem with cement and water then mixing thoroughly until homogenous, pouring the mixture to the desired mold then curing the molded composite. It further relates to the use of lightweight cement-based bakong composite in the manufacture of gifts, houseware and decor and furniture as well as other commercial, architectural and industrial application.
