Description

A METHOD OF MAKING POST STRUCTURE AND PRODUCT
THEREFOR
: SPECIFICATION . This invention relates in particuarly to a post structure made from wooden tubular materials such as bamboo poles.
Rebars, steel bars and other metallic posts are major components in building a structural post. These metallic posts are spacedly binded together to from the reinforcing filler of a structural posts. However, due to the using cost of these metallic posts, a construction may be tempted
So to use metallic posts of lesser diameter and substandard quality and may cause unwarranted damage to life and property during catastrophe.
Co It is therefore the primary object of the present invention to provide a post structure having bamboo as its : reinforcing material that is as durable, sturdy and stress resistant as ordinary steel bars but less costly and easy to source out than ordinary steel bars.
Another object is to provide a post structure using bamboo as its reinforcing material that consumes lesser cement mortar because of its diameter and thickness.
Still an object is to provide a method of making post . structure of bamboo reinforcement that is easy to fabricate
AE } + and therefore easy to mass produced using locally available - materials.
These and other objects and advantages of the present invention will be fully appreciated upon reading the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the appended drawings wherein:
FIGURE 1 is a perspective view of ‘the present invention for a post structure: and
FIGURE 2 is a sectional view taken along line 2-2 of
Fig. 1.
Referring now to the several views of the drawings wherein like reference numerals designate same parts throughout, there is shown my invention for a post structure generally designated as 10. Said post structure 10 comprises a plurality of tubular wooden poles 11, preferably of bamboo material, being cured and treated.
Each of the poles 11 being injected or filled with foamed " : material 12 such as polyurethan or styrofore on the hollow interior thereof.
The poles are.binded together using plastic or metal girths, at suitable portion along their length.
Since the poles are tubular, wedge 13 made of wooden or plastic material is disposed between adjacent poles along their length filling the gap or spaces between them.
The poles 11 are again pinded coverying the wedge holding the poles tightly together. .
The binded poles are coated with enamel or urethane 15 to make the exterior thereof water-proofed.
Finally, the coated poles dre mounted on a mold and a congealing mterial like concrete 16 is poured on the poles forming a solid mass of concrete on the exterior surface of the poles and after drying is ready for use as an electric posts, lamp posts, structural posts and the like.
Plastic, urethane or fiberglass may be used as exterior surface for other purposes. ’
While only certain preferred features of the invention have been shown by way of illustration, many modifications : and changes will occur to those skilled in the art. It is, therefore, to be understood that the present claims are intended to cover all such modifications and changes which fall within the true spirit of the invention.
