Abstract

A gas jet emitter (20) emits, through a series of orifices (21), a row of gas jets which are diverted and spread by a deflecting plate (40). The spreading of the jets is however limited by impact with the adjacent jets, which gives rise in each jet to counter-rotatary vortices (45, 48) surrounding a laminar flow zone (44) at low pressure, into which a thin stream (S) of molten thermoplastic material is sent. The jets are directed against a main gaseous flow (18) into which they penetrate, forming interaction zones. The thin streams are thus stretched successively in two steps, but the second step may be omitted. The method applies in particular to manufacturing glass fibres. <IMAGE> [GB1592683A]

Description

Celem wynalazku jest otrzymanie dobrej stabil¬ nosci zasilania materialem termoplastycznym uni¬ kajac calkowicie wzajemnego wplywu temepratur równych elementów urzadzenia doprowadzajacych ten material i gaz. Strumienie modyfikuje sie w odleglosci od gra¬ nicy pradu, a struzki materialu wprowadza sie; w strumienie w poblizu punktu, w którym doko- nujje sie modyfikacji dokonu/jac pierwszego wycia¬ gania struzki w strumieniach nosnych, przed prze¬ niknieciem w prad glówny." Wedhitg innej cechy wynalazku sposób wycia¬ gania opisany powyzej zawierajacy tworzenie za- wairowsan o przeciwnych kierunkach obrotów w kierunku strumienia nosnego stanowi pierwszy z dwóch nastepujacych etapów wyciagania. Otwory doprowadzajace tworzywo ciaglliwe, sa usytaiowane przed otworami doprowadzajacymi strumienie, w stosunku do kierunku przeplywu pradu glównego.Zastosowanie sposobu wedlug wynalazku przed¬ stawia liczne korzysci. Wynilraja stad nastepujace korzysci: Z jednej strony staje sie mozliwe oddzielenie róznych elementów urzadzenia zwlaszcza genera¬ tora prajchi glównego, generatora strumieni nosnych i zródla zasilania materialem termoplastycznymi. Moznia wiec otrzymac rozwlóknienie i produkty bardziej jednorodne. 1 przedstawia rozmieszczenie glównych ele¬ mentów urzadzenia wedlug wynalazku, w widoku z boku, z czesciowymi wykrojami, fig. 2 — sta¬ nowisko rozwlókniania w przekroju wzdluz linii I—II oznaczonej na fig. 4, fig. 5 — otwory wytwa¬ rzajace strumienie i doprowadzajace szklo w wido¬ ku wacttuz (Linii III—III oznaczonej ma fig. 2, dBg. 4 — urzadzenie z fig. 4, fig. 6 — skrzynka strumieniowa w widoku perspek¬ tywicznym, fig. 7 — schemat ilustrujacy dziala¬ nie sposobu i urzadzenia wedlug wynalazku, w wi¬ doku perepektywicznym, fig 8 — stanowisko roz¬ wlóknienia z fig. 2 przedstawiajace niektóre fazy dzialania strumienia i pradu glównego podczas wy¬ ciagania szkla podawanego przez otwór umieszczo¬ ny w czesci górnej urzadzenia, w przekroju podluz¬ nymi, fig. 9 — kilka strumieni i czesci pradu glów¬ nego z fig. Umozliwia to regulowanie oidpowdednich polozen otworów 21 w stosunku do dziobów 24 zwlaszcza w celu kompensowania rozszerzaHnosci cieplnej.Rozdzielanie otworów miedzy kilka skrzynek stru¬ mieniowych umozliwia prawidlowe rozmieszczenie otworów na przedluzeniu z otworami doprowadza¬ jacymi szklo w szeregach równoleglych do prze¬ plywu praidiu glównego. A similar method is known from French patent specification No. 2,223,316, in which a main gas current is generated and a carrier stream is directed transversely to it, with a smaller cross-section and kinetic energy per unit volume greater than the kinetic energy of the main current. The carrier stream penetrates the main current, creating an interaction zone in which a pair of vortices with opposite directions of rotation resulting from the interaction is created. Between these turbulences, created in the zone of relatively low pressure situated on the boundary of the main current, near and behind the point of penetration of this flow, a stream of thermoplastic material is fed towards the zone of lower pressure, where the stream then enters the interaction zone, where it is subjected to currents of greater turbulence speed, which causes it to be drawn and processed into fiber. The aim of the invention is to obtain good stability of the thermoplastic material supply, completely avoiding the mutual influence of the temperatures of the different elements of the device supplying this material and the gas. This objective was achieved by developing a method for producing fibers from a thermoplastic material in which continuous streams of this material are produced and drawn by means of carrier jets into which these streams are introduced. The essence of the invention consists in producing a series of carrier jets spaced laterally apart, strengthening the flow of each of these streams, limiting the lateral spread of each modified stream flow by creating in each at least one pair of vortices with opposite directions of rotation, and introducing a stream of thermoplastic material in an drawn state into each carrier jet towards the zone situated between the vortices of this stream. The carrier jets are produced in approximately parallel directions. 20. The lateral spread of each modified jet flow is limited by colliding this jet with adjacent jets. The modification of each jet is accomplished by curving its path. In another embodiment, a method of producing fibers from a thermoplastic material. in which continuous streams of thermoplastic material are produced and drawn out by means of carrier jets and a main current of larger diameter but with lower kinetic energy has a unit volume, depending on the diameter and energy of the carrier jets, it consists in generating a number of carrier jets spaced laterally from each other, modifying the flow of each of these streams, limiting the spreading on the sides of each modified stream flow by creating in each at least one pair of vortices with opposite directions of rotation, directing the main current transversely to the modified carrier jet flows and feeding the streams of thermoplastic material into the carrier jets before they enter the main current. The main current is directed along an approximately horizontal path situated below the carrier streams, the carrier streams being curved in the direction of the current being introduced behind the material streams in relation to the direction of this current, and the material streams are fed by gravity into the modified carrier streams. The streams are modified at a distance from the current boundary, and the material streams are introduced into the streams near the point at which the modification is made by first drawing the stream in the carrier streams before entering the main current. According to another feature of the invention, the drawing method described above comprises creating vortices with opposite directions of rotation in the direction The carrier stream constitutes the first of the two following drawing stages. The second stage consists in directing the transversely-carrying stream carrying the fiber being drawn into the main stream, the cross-section of which is larger than that of the stream, which, moreover, possesses sufficient kinetic energy per unit volume to penetrate into the main stream and create an interaction zone similar to the interaction zone described in the cited French patent. This means that the fiber being drawn initially is introduced into the zone of interaction between the carrier stream and the main stream, where it is subjected to additional drawing. During this process, although each individual stream of thermoplastic material is subjected to two successive drawing stages, each by the action of high-speed currents, created by pairs of successive vortices, creates a single fiber from each individual stream. On the other hand, it should be recalled that, according to the cited French patent, in order to lead and introduce a stream of thermoplastic material into the interaction zone, an opening feeding this material is arranged at the boundary of the main current or practically at this boundary, in order to separate the opening feeding the material stream from the boundary of the main current while maintaining a completely good stability of the thermoplastic material supply. The invention also includes a device for producing fibers from thermoplastic material, comprising a source of salting with streams of this material, provided with at least one opening feeding the stream, and a jet generator. in which, according to the invention, the carrier jet generator is formed by a jet spark box provided with outlet openings for feeding the jets, a deflector placed at least partially at the jet head between the outlet openings, and a zone in which they enter into contact with the thermoplastic material, wherein the jet feeding element is situated in relation to the jet flow direction opposite the zone which is situated near the front end of the deflector. According to the first feature of the invention, a carrier jet flow is created: by disturbing the flow by means of the deflector, a pair of vortices with opposite directions of rotation are generated, called jet turbulences. The deflector creates not only turbulences but also establishes a low-pressure laminar flow zone located between these turbulences. The invention aims to bring a jet of a fibroplastic material, for example, liquid glass, into a position where it is subjected to the influence of air in the laminar flow zone. This results from the fact that the jet is first guided in laminar flow between the turbulences and then subjected to the influence of high-velocity currents of the turbulence pair, which causes it to be drawn into the fiber. The jet box openings are parallel in shape, and the deflector is formed by a reflecting plate containing a surface located; JPJFrom an angle in relation to the initial direction, the direction of the deflector is " . ,. ;•/,../ . In another embodiment, in a device for producing fibers from a thermo-active material having a source of power for the flow of this material, provided with at least one secondly, the thermoplastic material stream guiding device, the generator of the spring jets and the main current flow, according to the invention, the flow of the carrier streams is formed by a streamer provided with an inlet opening; the deflector is placed at least partly between the outlet opening and the force, in which they come into contact with the thermoplastic material streams, while the stream guiding device is placed in relation to the flow direction of the stream directly in the flow zone, which is situated near the front end of the deflector, and The main gaseous fraction generator is located at a distance from the supply source of the ductile material and from the transmission box, and is provided with outlet holes with a diameter larger than the diameter of the holes supplying the carrier streams, with the outlet hole axis directed transversely to the direction of flow of the modified streams. The holes supplying the ductile material are located in front of the holes supplying the streams, in relation to the direction of flow of the main current. The application of the method according to the invention presents numerous advantages. First of all, it results from this method that the influence of the turbulence of the stream dispersed by the action of the deflector on the stream being in the first stage of drawing enables the introduction of the drawn fiber. into the zone of interaction between the flux and the main current. This results in the following advantages: On the one hand, it becomes possible to separate the various elements of the device, especially the main current generator, the carrier flux generator and the thermoplastic material supply source. Since the separation of the elements is advantageous for many reasons, and especially due to the reduction of heat exchange between these three elements, it gives greater flexibility to maintain different temperatures between the main current generator, the carrier flux generator and the material supply source. Furthermore, such a reduction of heat exchange enables the debonding under good conditions of subisistance, such as hard glass, which requires relatively high temperatures to be processed into a liquid state. The separation of the elements from each other used in The invention reduces or eliminates the production of unfibered or poorly fiberized molecules resulting from the adhesion of the thermoplastic material on the hot walls. This allows for fiberization and more uniform products. Furthermore, the use of the method in two stages, in which the first serves to feed the material to the interaction zone of the jet and the main current, is advantageous, because this first stage constitutes a means of stabilizing the material supply to the interaction zone despite the considerable distance between the material supply element and the boundary of the main current, and this is an important factor for obtaining uniform drawing in the interaction zone. In the first stage of material supply, the formation of a low-pressure, cyasiliaminar flow zone enables regular and precise supply of the material stream to the zone situated between The flow turbulence caused by the deflector action allows for high accuracy despite the error in the mutual positioning of the thermoplastic material feeding orifice in relation to the laminar flow zone. Due to this automatic compensation for relative irregularities in the material supply point position, it is not necessary to design certain elements of the device, such as the molten glass flow feeding member, with high accuracy. This advantage is important because it is known that high manufacturing accuracy is difficult to achieve at high temperatures encountered in the processing of molten glass, especially during the fiberization of hard glass or other materials such as slag or rocks. The method according to the invention is also advantageous for use with various thermoplastic materials formed not only by different minerals, as in indicated above, but also certain organic materials such as polypropylene, polystyrene, polyamide, and polycarbonate. In the present invention, certain more favorable technological conditions can also be used with respect to the temperature and velocity of the carrier jet in relation to the temperature and velocity of the main current. It is advantageous to impart to the carrier jet a velocity and temperature lower than those envisaged in the examples given in French patent No. 2,223,318, in order to obtain the features and additional advantages discussed later in the description. Although, according to the invention, the fiberization of the thermoplastic material is most often carried out in two stages, it should be noted that for some applications the material may be subjected to a first stage, i.e., a staged fiberization resulting from the introduction of this material into the zone located between a pair of vortices with opposite directions causing disturbances in the flow of the stream, by means of a deflector. The procedure of eliminating the next stage of penetration of the stream into the main current significantly simplifies the device. The solution according to the invention is applicable to any thermoplastic material, however, it is particularly useful in the drawing of thermoplastics such as glass and similar compounds heated to a liquid state or a consistency suitable for drawing. The invention is illustrated in the examples of embodiments in the drawing, where Fig. 1 shows the arrangement of the main elements of the device according to the invention, in a side view, with partial cutouts, Fig. 2 — solid fiberizing station in cross-section along line I—II marked in Fig. 4, Fig. 5 — holes generating streams and feeding glass in view of wacttuz (line III—III marked in Fig. 2, dBg. 4 — device from Fig. 2 in view along arrow A marked in this figure, Fig. 3 — device in view along line V—V marked in Fig. 4, Fig. 6 — stream box in perspective view, Fig. 7 — diagram illustrating the operation of the method and device according to the invention, in perspective view, Fig. 8 — fiberizing station from Fig. 2 showing some phases of operation of the stream and main current during drawing of glass fed through the hole located in the upper part device, in longitudinal section, fig. 9 — several streams and part of the main current from fig. 8, but without glass supply, in top view, fig. 1-0 — cross-section of three adjacent streams illustrating the directions of rotation of the stream swirls, fig. 11 — arrangement of the main elements of the device together with the dimensions that should be taken into account in order to determine the technological conditions during the implementation of the invention, in longitudinal section, ffig. Fig. 1 shows a schematic arrangement of a device corresponding to the method according to the invention. On the left side of Fig. 1 there is a schematic representation of a part of a burner 15 or generator generating the main current 18 and comprising a nozzle 16 provided with an outlet opening 17 of a width sufficient to accommodate several fiberization centers and the main current 18. A supply pipe 19 for the gas medium under the glare is connected to jet boxes 20 which serve to supply the nozzles generating the carrier jets with gas and comprising holes 21. A spinner 22 is connected to the abironic 23 by another suitable liquid supply medium. The glass feeder comprises a spout 24 for feeding liquid glass, through which the glass jet is directed into the flowing stream and then guided by it into the main stream 18 into the interaction zone. As will be described later, fiberization occurs in the stream as well as in the main stream, and the latter guides the fibers straight ahead, as shown in Fig. 1, to form a nonwoven fabric which is deposited on a perforated conveyor belt or punched belt 26. Under the upper strand of this belt is a suction chamber 27 connected to a suction fan 28 to facilitate the laying of the nonwoven fabric on the punched belt 26. Various elements for producing fibers are shown in Fig. 1. 2 to 6, which will be discussed later. The main current and carrier jet generators are preferably mounted in a manner that allows them to be adjusted in relation to the housing 29, so that the relative position of the main current and the carrier jet can be changed in the foam direction and preferably also in the flow direction of the main current 16. Figures 4 and 5 show in particular that the main current nozzle 16 is quite wide and therefore has a wide outlet opening 17. As shown in Figure 4, the glass feed spinner 22, arranged under the tank 23, preferably also has considerable dimensions in the direction perpendicular to the plane of Figure 2, in order to enable glass feed to multiple glass feed spouts 24. Figures 2 and 3 show that each spout 24 has a dispensing orifice 24a and, preferably, a shallow, lower, elongated tank 24b located downstream of the dispensing orifice. The tanks 24b are preferably elongated in the plane of the devolatilization station, i.e., in the plane containing the glass feed spout 24 and the orifice 21, producing the corresponding flow. The orifices 21 are formed in the inclined wall of a series of flow boxes 20 supported by pins 30, which are located in the housing 29 and extend across the entire width of the spinnerette. 22. The pins pass on the other side through holes 31 formed from mounting bridges 32 arranged at each end of each flux box (Fig. 6). Thus, the different flux boxes in the illustrated embodiment 4 can be moved to the right or to the left as shown in Figs. 4 and 5. The positions of the flux boxes on the pins 30 are defined by additional pins 33, 34, 35, and 36, each of which is threaded at one end for receiving it in a threaded hole in one of the flux box bridges 32, these threaded holes 32 being shown in Fig. 6. At end 38, each of the pins 35 to 36 is mounted in a bearing which fixes its axial position and each is provided with recesses by means of which it can be rotated in order to move the jet box and to adjust the position of this box in a lateral direction. This enables the adjustment of the respective positions of the openings 21 in relation to the spouts 24, especially to compensate for thermal expansion. The separation of the openings between several jet boxes enables the correct arrangement of the openings in the extension with the glass supply openings in rows parallel to the flow of the main flow. The arrangement in the extension may not be ideal, but it is sufficient for a device of the type shown and in accordance with the invention, in which the glass beams are supplied to the aluminaminar zones comprised between The jets are turbulent streams, i.e. zone 44b (fig. 7). In fact, as previously discussed, the glass streams supplied to these zones enable them to automatically compensate for slight inaccuracies in the relative positions of the glass supply orifices and the jets. Each of the jet boxes 20 is connected by two flexible conduits 39 to the tube 19, which enables its position to be adjusted independently of the position of the supply tube 19. As indicated above, according to the invention, the jets discharged through the orifices 21 are subjected to a curvature or guidance by means of a deflector which cooperates with the deflectors to produce vapors, turbulences in opposite directions of at least for primary extraction, but also to bring the partially extracted streams to the interaction zone formed by the penetration of the streams into the main current. In order to create pairs of stream swirls with opposite directions, a deflector in the form of a plate 40 is used, common to a group of stream feeding holes. In the case where the streams are divided into groups, each group is associated with one box 20, each of these boxes preferably containing one deflector plate 40. As shown in Figs. 7 and 8, the deflector plate, preferably in the form of a bent sheet metal, part of which covers the stream box, The plate on which it is mounted and another part of which has an edge 41 placed in the flow path in the middle of the flow produced by the holes 21 is preferably placed along a line which intersects the axes of these flow-producing holes. This position of the plate 40 and its edge 41 causes each jet to strike the inner surface of the plate 40, a (this causes the jets to spread out). Thus, as shown in Fig. 7, the flow of the four jets fed through holes a, b, c and d expands laterally, approaching the edge 41 of the plate 40. According to the invention, the flow-producing holes 21 are situated sufficiently close to each other. each other, and the deflector is placed so that, as these jets propagate, the adjacent jets do not touch each other near the edge 41 of the plate. Preferably, as shown in Fig. 7, the adjacent jets also touch each other near the edge 41 of the deflector plate 40. This results in the formation of pairs of vortices in opposite directions, as shown in Fig. 7 for each of the three jets produced by holes a, b, c. To analyze the formation of vortices, it is necessary to consider the vortices 42b and 43b associated with the jet coming from hole b. It should be noted that these vortices have their peaks situated near the edge 41 of the plate 40. on opposite sides of the jet, near the zone where the jet, during its expansion, meets the adjacent flow produced by holes a and c, which is present during its expansion. The swirls 42b and 43b have opposite directions, as schematically shown in Fig. 10, and they increase as the jets expand until they meet at some distance behind the edge 41 of the deflector plate. These vortices 42b and 43b also have a component directed in the direction of flow. Due to the distance between the peaks or points of formation of the vortices 42b and 43b, and taking into account their progressive enlargement, an approximately triangular zone 44b is formed between the vortices and the edge 41 of the deflector plate. This triangular zone has a relatively weak pressure and causes a significant inflow of air, but its flow remains essentially sillaminar. In the zone where the liquid glass stream is introduced, and because of the lateral flow in this triangular zone, the glass stream is not separated but is introduced as a single stream subjected to drawing in the zone situated between the two swirls. It should be noted that the directions of rotation of the currents in swirls 42b and 43b are opposite, swirl 42b rotating clockwise (Fig. 8) while swirl 43b rotates counterclockwise. Therefore, the currents in these two swirls approach each other. to each other in the upper part and then flow downwards towards the central or laminar zone 44b. For the pair of vortices 45a and 46a coming from the hole a, the direction of rotation is indicated by arrows, which are formed as before. It is obvious that for the flow of the jet from the hole a as shown in the cross-section, at the end level, that the laminar flow zone 44a, that is approximately the zone in which the two vortices after expansion begin to merge and sink into each other, this phenomenon occurs as the jet flow spreads along its flow path. The same figure also shows that the flow of the jet coming from the hole a contains not only vortex pair 45a and 46a, but also another pair of vortices 47a and 48a having opposite directions of rotation with respect to each other as shown in Figs. 7 and 10, but in the case of vortex 47a situated on the left side of Fig. 7 it rotates counterclockwise while disturbances 48a situated on the right side rotate clockwise. Such double pairs of vortices are of course produced by each of the streams. The onset of the formation of the downstream vortex pairs is different from the onset of the upstream vortices, as will be explained with reference to Fig. 8. In relation to Fig. 7 it should be noted that during the flow starting from the plane in which the associated vortices are shown With opening a, the four vortices tend to merge and transform the flow into a less characteristic one, as shown in cross-section 49c through the flow of the jet coming from opening c. The motions resulting from the vortices increase the flow, and the entire flow, including the laminar flow, of the central zone streams, mixes at 49c, with the stream 40 then expanding in the direction of flow of the main current 18. Figure 7 shows a cross-section of different parts of the jet flow. For example, in the zone situated slightly downstream of the flow, the pairs of vortices 45 that originate in each of the jets appear slightly separated from the pair of vortices originating in each of the jets. adjacent, while in reality these different vortices are practically adjacent. Figure 8 shows the filaments corresponding to the opening generating jet b in Figure 7. Swirl 43b is therefore located in Zone 44b. The pair of downstream vortices originates in the zone situated below plate 40, with Figure 8 showing only downstream vortex 48b, which arises from zone 44b. The rotation of the downstream vortex results from the combined action of the jet on the inner surface of plate 40 and the air currents which are adjacent to the jet flow. This rotation seems to have no effect on the introduction of the stream of continuous material, while the direction of the upper vortex currents has a significant effect on the drawing process during the initial guiding of this stream in the laminar zone, and then the time of the stream flow beyond the point where the vortices merge. • By virtue of creating a stream flow in the laminar zone and in the vortex pairs, especially in the upper pair of each group, the introduction of a stream s of thermoplastic material into the fiberizing medium containing the stream opening b results in the driving of the stream inside the laminar flow in the central zone. This stream in the zone high velocity situated between the pairs of vortices, and as a result the stream is drawn as shown in Fig. 7. This drawing essentially takes place in the zone corresponding to the plane P indicated in the same figure. The action of the pair of vortices of the stream causes the drawn fiber to undulate approximately in the zone of the plane P1. In this way, the drawing does not cause the stream to be thrown in the direction of the adjacent fibers during fiber formation. In the further part of the flow, the stream causes the fiber being drawn to penetrate into the upper limit of the main current 18, provided that this flow still retains sufficient kinetic energy for this penetration. Then the second drawing stage begins. fibers, which occurs according to the principles explained in detail in French patent specification No. 2,223,311*8. Of course, in the zone of transfer of carrier streams to the main current, the flow and velocity of each stream still remain sufficiently high near the axis so that each stream individually enters the zone of interaction with the current. A pair of twirls TT (Fig. 7), with opposite directions, is produced in the interaction zone. This causes the generation of currents that additionally draw the fibers during their formation. These fibers are then carried by the combined flow of the carrier stream and the main current towards the appropriate collecting means, for example conveyor or slotted belt 26 Gfig. 1). Figure 7-18 shows the mutual air flow, with arrows pointing in the direction of the stream flow, where it is assumed that air is introduced into the teminam zone adjacent to the edge of the deflector plate, but also as the stream flows in the forward direction. In order to make the description of the device and method according to the invention more precise, preferred examples and the more important conditions and technological parameters are given below. The relative positions of the jet-producing holes and the deflector 40 are adjusted so as to cause the jets to spread so that adjacent jets impinge on other jets at the level of the edge 41 of the deflector. This arrangement is illustrated in Fig. 7 and it can be seen that in such a case the origins and tops of the upper pairs of jet swirls are located on the edge 41 of the deflector plate 48. The jets and the deflector plate can be arranged in such a way that the jets They strike each other at points situated approximately in front of the flow. It is advantageous for adjacent streams to strike each other near this edge, because in this case maximum stability of the flow turbulence is achieved, resulting in maximum stability of the laminar zone and the flow. In turn, the stability of the laminar zone is important for the stabilization of the glass feed. Absolute accuracy is not necessary in reality, but the following facts should be taken into account: If the point of impact of adjacent streams is located at a considerable distance and behind the edge of the deflector plate, the turbulence becomes unstable, because it originates in the water space near the edge of the plate. On the other hand, if the peaks are located on the edge of the hub near the edge of the deflector plate, these turbulences streams seem to approach the edge at a central position. If, however, adjacent streams strike each other at a point situated at a considerable distance before the edge of the deflector plate, the vortex formation is limited by the plate itself. It is also important that a pair of upper vortices is formed at the edge of the deflector plate by placing this plate at the level of the central axis of the streams (or close to this level. * If the edge of the plate is slightly higher, the deflection decreases correspondingly or may even disappear, and in this case no vorticity will be formed. However, if the edge of the deflector plate is situated too low and is, for example, below the upper boundary of the stream, the formation of vortices tends to less regularity. When the swirls are produced under the most favorable conditions, that is, when the peaks are attached to the edge of the defHe~, they have better stability and act more regularly and stably in feeding the glass stream and drawing it in the zone of the plane P described above. One of the advantages of the presented invention is that it allows the production of fibers whose diameters vary within very wide limits. It is even possible to obtain a diameter smaller than the diameter of the fibers produced by the method published above in the French patent specification. A particularly important advantage is that the invention, in relation to this method, makes it possible to produce fibers of a given in diameter at a very high unit yield. The unit yield, which is defined as the fiberization yield per hole or one feeding spout with the fibrous material, according to the present invention, can reach 160 kg per hole per 24 hours. In the following part of the description, the values of this parameter and various factors relating to the operating conditions are given, referring in particular to figures 1d, 11a, 11b and to the corresponding information presented in the form of tables. As previously indicated, the first drawing stage of the method according to the invention can be used (if desired independently of the second stage or to prevent the production of thinner fibers than fibers obtained by using two stages), but Fibers thin enough for some applications are then obtained (though these fibers can be produced at a relatively high unit output). With reference to Figs. L1, L1a and L1b and the information in the tables, it should be noted that the representation of the various elements of the system, especially in Fig. 11, is given in a way that facilitates the explanation of the range of dimensions and angles, but does not necessarily represent the most advantageous values within all these limits. The three main elements (Fig. 11), i.e. the main current generator, the carrier stream generator and the power source (made of thermoplastic material), are shown in cross-section as in Figs. 2 and 8. At the same time, Figs. 11, L1a and L1b bear the same reference numbers identifying some dimensions and some angles that are given in the following Table 1. As indicated above, according to the invention, the carrier jets are placed sufficiently close to each other to impinge on each other, causing vortex pairs in each carrier jet. In particular, a fiberizing station may be provided, in which case it is desired that each station comprises a feed nose for the ductile material and a jet associated therewith, and for this reason, Since each carrier jet must impinge on another jet, two additional jets must be added to the total number of feed nozzles for ductile material, so that these two additional jets are arranged at the two ends of the flow conduits. The series of feed nozzles for thermoplastic material can be replaced by a slot placed transversely to the main flow. In this case, the cones and the stream of thermoplastic material are then formed across the slot by the individual action of the carrier jets. For the same reasons as before, two additional jets must be placed at the ends of the series of feed nozzles. The number of fiberizing stations can reach 1 < 50, but in a normal fiberizing plant for glass or similar thermoplastic material, the corresponding spinnerette contains 70 feed nozzles. In this case, it will be necessary to use 712 streams. 10 15 20 25 2 7 in the lower' range 4 0 415 10 3 3 0.5-^4 11— about 13—: —about 4 2 to 10 -^OyOfr—4^ 35-^5(5 0h^4© 2-^5 2M515 116599 16 It should be pointed out that the operating conditions of the system according to the invention will vary depending on various factors, for example depending on it.' As indicated above, the invention "can be applied to a wide range of ductile materials. In the case of glass or other thermoplastic inorganic material, the temperature of the spinner or feed spout will obviously be It varied depending on the properties of the material being drawn. The range of suitable temperatures can be from 1400 to 1800°C. Depending on the glass cladding and the size of the flow, the die temperature is about 1480°C. The specific flow rate can vary from 20 to 50 kg per hole per 24 hours, with 50 to 100 kg per hole per 24 hours being the preferred value. Some other relative values of the flux and the main current are also of great importance, as indicated in the tables below, in which the following symbols are used: T — temperature, p — pressure, V — velocity, q — volumetric mass. The table 5. Flux 1 Symbol Pj (kPa) . Then, when a main current and a jet are used, the latter has a cross-section smaller than the cross-section of the main current and penetrates into this main current, creating an interaction zone (iw) -, which is followed by a second phase of extraction. For this purpose, the jet must have kinetic energy per unit volume greater than the kinetic energy of the main current in the zone in which they interact. The jet can have kinetic energy 1.6 to 6.0 times greater than the kinetic energy of the main current, the preferred ratio being 10:1, i.e.: -,. . ej-V2j= 10 QB V2B ,f • * It should be noted in Table 5 that the temperature and velocity chosen for the carrier jet are lower than those given, for example, in French patent 2,223,318, as previously indicated. In these examples, the carrier jet used to create the interaction zone with the main current actually has a temperature of 1073 K and a velocity of 560 m/s, while the main current has a temperature of 165.3 K and a velocity within the limits of 224 to 283 m/s. The temperature and velocity values of the carrier jet, as shown in Table 1, are much lower, but they nevertheless enable the achievement of a kinetic energy ratio of volume unit, "necessary" to ensure the penetration of the stream into the main current. In fact, when the stream temperature is lower and reaches, for example, a value below 37 K or close to the ambient temperature, the gas density increases in parallel, which allows the desired kinetic energy per unit volume to be obtained while maintaining a lower velocity. It is still possible to operate a stream whose velocity is lower than the main current velocity. The benefits obtained by using a carrier stream with a relatively low temperature are significant. First of all, for temperatures lower than 373 K, it becomes possible to use a standard source of compressed air to supply the stream. On the other hand, in the case of the implementation of the jet generator, conventional materials such as stainless steel can be used instead of more expensive materials which are necessary when high temperatures are used. By using a carrier jet at a lower temperature, the problems of deformation and thermal expansion are greatly reduced or can be completely avoided, and the risk of oxidation is also significantly reduced. Furthermore, this allows the temperature of the individual jets to be kept more uniform in a multiple filamentation device. The use of lower temperature jets is particularly advantageous for a device equipped with a detector as described in this application. Furthermore, it is possible when the detector position has been determined and established in in relation to the generated streams, easy maintenance of uniformity of the dimensional characteristics of the deflector and its position in relation to the holes / generating the streams. Moreover, thanks to the use of a stream of a lower temperature, the fibers can be more easily transformed in relatively cooler zones in the final phase of "drawing", this feature being important for the reasons explained in the above-mentioned French patent specification. ¦...-.*.•. Furthermore, the possibility of using ordinary compressed air with a temperature lower than 76 K l^-W&IMiOtoej to a temperature environment, eliminates the loss of energy (which would be necessary to heat this state. This air is, on the other hand, cheaper than high-temperature fluids - although in the case of an inertia of 5 (the temperature of the gas streams is close to the ambient temperature, it is obvious that it can be
