3 plan przyziemny, i fig. Suszarniane po¬ mieszczenia sa naogól ustawione w kie¬ runku podluznym, lecz moga byc zgru¬ powane inaczej: np. w krag, jezeli ta ulatwia budowe calej instalacji. PL PLThe present invention relates to certain improvements in the method of treating wood materials with electricity, based on the combined use of ozone and heat; and to new devices which enable the industrial application of the above method. This method is characterized by the methodical and continuous circulation of wood materials in the device in which the wood is dried. The relevant device is shown in the attached drawings, in which Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section of the device, Fig. 2 a cross-section, Fig. 3 a ground plan, and Fig. 4 a plan at the height of the first floor. The entire device consists mainly of the following parts: an ozone source A, an ozone tube B) and a source heat C, an apparatus for mixing air and ozone D7, a fan E to create circulation from distributors F and G, a closed room H for hot air at the entrance and the same J at the exit from the dryer, and from wagons k1, k2, kzy kA} kb. The wood subjected to this process is placed on wagons at intervals of one to two centimetres in order to facilitate the circulation of hot air and ozone between the individual pieces. The two most important elements of the installation are, on the one hand, the ozonator A, and on the other, the air heater C. The plan (Fig. 4) shows the ducts used to mix the ozonated air with the heated air before it enters the room where the wood is to be dried. The mixing takes place in a suitable device D, which essentially consists of a series of appropriately mounted conical parts, as shown in the drawing (Fig. 1). The air is circulated by an electrically powered fan E. This fan draws the mixture of ozone and heated air through channels F, or the heated and heated air separately, and sends it through openings G in the direction of the arrows shown in the drawing. Both air and waste products escape through chimney L with or without the help of fan M, depending on whether the damper N is closed or open. Based on the above data, wood drying is carried out as follows: Wood material in the form of boards of several millimeters or shawl-like laths of a few millimeters thick are placed on wagons, which are then rolled into room H, which is immediately closed to prevent the loss of hot air or ozone. When the proper drying room is filled with wagons and the normal course of work is ensured, the wood material is initially exposed to the action of only hot air, then only ozonized air, and finally to a mixture of hot air and ozonized air. Under the influence of this triple As the drying process continues, the wood dries out, and the cell contents oxidize, just as if the wood were drying and aging outdoors under a roof. When the drying process is sufficient, and the drying period depends on the thickness of the materials being dried, the wagon is rolled out, opening the door to the room. Then, by moving the remaining wagons, the wagon loaded with fresh material is introduced through the door into the room. In this way, the wood progresses gradually, causing the action of hot air and ozone, which becomes more vigorous the further the drying and oxidation progresses. If the drying room is in normal operation, the entire process is carried out methodically without interruption. Drying rooms are generally arranged lengthwise, but they can be grouped differently, for example, in a circle, if this facilitates the construction of the entire installation.
