Retorta ma kształt skorupowego stożka ściętego, o mniejszej średnicy u dołu, a zewnętrzna jej powierzchnia ukształtowaną jest w co najmniej dwa pierścienie (1), natomiast powierzchnia wewnętrzna ma łukowe stożkowe wybrania (2), ograniczone występami (3) rozmieszczonymi w dowolnie ilości na obwodzie wewnętrznym o zbieżnych bokach (4) i zarysie linii śrubowej, a łukowe wybrania (2) i występy (3) mają przelotowe otwory (5), zaś elementy retorty tworzą całość.
