Zespół czerpaka, zwłaszcza do koparki szczelinowej, charakteryzuje się tym, że każda z łupin (3) czerpaka (2) zaopatrzona jest w rolkę prowadzącą (4), poruszającą się w momencie przemieszczania czerpaka (2) z położenia górnego czerpaka (B) do dolnego położenia czerpaka (A) i odwrotnie, a do zewnętrznej ściany czerpaka (2) przylegają zbiorniki boczne (6), przy czym zbiorniki boczne (6) wyposażone są w górnej części w klapę górną (7) zbiornika bocznego (6), w dolnej części w klapę dolną (8) zbiornika bocznego (6), natomiast zawiesie (5) znajduje się w górnej części czerpaka (2).
