Description

Przyklad I. Naklad 100 egz.Cena 100 zl PLThe subject of the invention is a method for the preparation of cyclohexylamine by reduction of aniline in the gas phase, continuous method on a stationary cobalt-calcium catalyst. Cyclohexylamine is used as an intermediate for the preparation of rubber vulcanization accelerators, corrosion inhibitors, plant protection agents, sweeteners (cyclomatics) and cyclohexylamine. The industrial scale is mainly obtained from aniline by the catalytic hydrogenation method or the ammonia ammonia method of phenol, cyclohexanol or cyclohexanone, with the processes carried out under increased pressure being predominant. The process of synthesis of cyclohexylamine by the method of hydrogenation of nitrobenzene with hydrogen in the gas phase using cobalt catalysts is also known from the Soviet patent description No. 114217. In the production of cyclohexylamine from aniline, its hydrogenation is carried out both in a batch and continuous manner, in the gas or liquid phase, using stationary catalysts or suspended in liquid. The following catalysts are used as catalysts: nickel, cobalt, platinum, palladium, rhodium or ruthenium, prepared in various ways and composed with carriers and activators. The process of cyclohexylamine synthesis is carried out at temperatures ranging from room temperature to up to 573 K, at pressures from normal to 25 MPa, with very different contact times and molar ratios of hydrogen to aniline. Depending on the selection of contact and the values of the parameters mentioned, the efficiency of cyclohexylamine is obtained in the order of 10-90%, with different efficiencies per unit volume of the catalyst and significantly different lifetime of the contacts used. In the known processes of obtaining cyclohexylamine from aniline on stationary cobalt catalysts pre-reduction combined with the activation of catalysis with hydrogen is used, which process requires the use of relatively high temperatures in the order of 513-533K, i.e. temperatures about 60-100 K higher than that in which the cyclohexylamine synthesis process is carried out. This creates a number of inconveniences, as it makes it necessary to use a special heating system with a high-temperature heat carrier, for example of the Santotherm type, in the reactor node, which increases the cost of equipment and operating costs. Surprisingly, it turned out that if in the process of obtaining cyclohexylamine from aniline in the gas phase on a stationary With a cobalt-calcium catalyst, the catalyst will be reduced and activated with hydrogen at reduced temperature or reduced and activated with hydrogen with addition of nitrobenzene at the end of this stage, possibly in a mixture with aniline, much better results are obtained. This allows to extend the life of the catalyst and to increase the efficiency and selectivity of the process, apart from removing the equipment inconvenience associated with carrying out the reduction stage and catalyst activation at high temperatures. The process according to the invention is carried out in such a way that the cobalt-calcium catalyst is subject to initial reduction and activation with hydrogen at a temperature of 433-453 K, and then a mixture of nine pairs of aniline and hydrogen with a molar ratio of 1: 5 to 1:45 is contacted with the reduced catalyst for 2-15 seconds, and then pure cyclohexylamine is separated from the synthesis products obtained. by rectification. The aniline hydrogenation process is carried out at a temperature of 433-453 K and a pressure of 0.05-5 MPa. The unreacted aniline and excess hydrogen recovered after refluxing the vapors leaving the reactor are returned to the synthesis process, the hydrogen stream feeding the reactor may contain a maximum of 5% by volume inert gases and a maximum of 1% by volume ammonia. Higher concentrations of these components in hydrogen slow down the rate of aniline hydrogenation, lower the selectivity of the process and accelerate catalyst deactivation, and thus reduce the efficiency of cyclohexylamine. In a variant of the method of obtaining cyclohexylamine according to the invention, by hydrogenation of aniline on the cobalt-calcium catalyst for the final phase of reduction and activation of the catalyst, hydrogen saturated with nitrobenzene vapors or a mixture of nitrobenzene vapors and aniline with a weight ratio of 1: 9 to 9: 1 is used. The result is a significant reduction in the total duration of this operation compared to the reduction carried out under the same conditions with hydrogen alone, and an increase in the life of the catalyst by about 25%. The advantage of the process of obtaining cyclohexylamine by hydrogenation of aniline in the gas phase on a cobalt catalyst. According to the invention, it is possible to obtain higher yields and significantly extend the lifetime of the catalyst by 25-50%. The possibility of carrying out the synthesis process in a continuous manner with the recycling of unreacted aniline and excess hydrogen with a strictly controlled content of inert gases and ammonia and with only a small amount of recycle hydrogen being tempered. system and the possibility of conducting reduction and activation of the catalyst at much lower temperatures than it results from the known state of the art, and which is important at temperatures close to the temperature of the synthesis process, allow for a significant simplification of the reactor junction equipment and not operating costs, as well as significantly reducing the emission of pollutants to the atmosphere, and thus reducing the degree of environmental hazard. Example I. The catalyst was prepared by mixing 3000 grams of cobalt-cobalt oxide powder with 3000 grams of powdered calcium oxide with the addition of 0.5 grams nickel oxide as an activator, forming a contact mass after mixing in a kneader with 6dm3 of water, into extrudates with dimensions of 4X6 to 8mm, and then drying them. The thus obtained catalyst was filled into a 32 mm steel tubular reactor with a length of 1200 mm. While maintaining the reactor bath temperature of 453 K, the catalyst was reduced and activated in a stream of hydrogen for 140 hours using a flow of 800 liters of hydrogen / liter of catalyst and an hour. The mixture of aniline and hydrogen vapors in a molar ratio of 1:25 was then passed through the activated catalyst bed, at the reactor bath temperature of 453 K, pressure of 0.3 MPa and a load of 145 g of aniline per dm3 of catalyst and an hour. After the vapors and gases flowing out of the reactor had been cooled, the crude product was condensed and rectified to separate pure cyclohexylamine, aniline and the rest of the components. 127563 The separated aniline was combined with the feed stream of the reactor. The excess hydrogen after separation from the liquid products was recycled to the synthesis, a small part of it was released from the system to the atmosphere in order to maintain in the circulating hydrogen content of inert gases at a maximum of 5% by volume and ammonia content of a maximum of 1% by volume. hours of catalyst operation, the crude product had the following composition: cyclohexylamine 93% by weight aniline 3.5% by weight other ingredients 3.5% by weight After 2500 hours of operation, the catalyst was deactivated and had to be replaced with fresh. For comparison, the composition of the crude product obtained with the same catalyst, reduced at 523-533 K, after 1800 hours. work in the synthesis process, was as follows: cyclohexylamine 89.0 wt.% aniline 5.0 wt.% other components 6.0 wt.%. After 2000 hours of operation, this catalyst was deactivated and it had to be replaced with fresh. Example II. The cobalt-calcium catalyst prepared according to the method described in example 1, placed in an analogous reactor, was subjected to a two-stage reduction and activation. For the first 20 hours, reductions were carried out with hydrogen alone in a manner analogous to that in Example 1, and for a further 20 hours the catalyst was activated at a temperature of 453 K in a flow of 800 liters of hydrogen / liter of catalyst and an hour of saturated mixture of 3 parts by weight of aniline and 2 parts by weight. nitrobenzene. The aniline hydrogenation process was carried out on the catalyst activated in this way in the manner described in Example 1, obtaining a crude product of the following composition after 2800 hours of catalyst operation: cyclohexylamine 95% by weight aniline 2.5% by weight other ingredients 2.5% by weight. The catalyst life under these conditions was 3000 hours, then the deactivated catalyst had to be replaced with fresh ones. Example III. The catalyst prepared according to the method described in example I and placed in an analogous reactor was subjected to reduction and activation analogously to example II. The mixture of aniline and hydrogen vapors in a molar ratio of 1: 5 was then passed through the catalyst activated in this way at the reactor bath temperature of 453 K, pressure 0.3 MPa and a catalyst load of 155 g of aniline / dm3 of catalyst per hour. After 2800 hours of catalyst operation, after cooling the vapors and gases flowing out of the reactor and condensation, a crude product was obtained with the following composition: cyclohexylamine 94.0% by weight aniline 3.0% by weight other ingredients 3.0% by weight The above crude product was subjected to rectification in order to separate pure cyclohexylamine, unreacted aniline and other compounds. Example IV. The catalyst prepared according to the method described in Example I and placed in an analogous reactor was activated in an analogous manner to that in Example II. The mixture of aniline and hydrogen vapors in the molar ratio 1:45 was then passed through the activated catalyst at the reactor bath temperature of 453 K, pressure of 0.3 MPa, using a catalyst load of 150 g of aniline / dm3 of catalyst and an hour. After 2900 hours of catalyst operation, after cooling the vapors and gases flowing out of the reactor and condensation, a crude product was obtained with the following composition: cyclohexylamine 94.5% by weight aniline 3.0% by weight other ingredients 2.5% by weight4 127563 The above crude product was rectified in order to separate pure cyclohexylamine, unreacted aniline and other compounds.
