Płyty te, po ich połączeniu, będą tworzyć cztery ściany ula pszczelego. Ul pszczeli posiada wnęki (2) w wewnętrznych ścianach ula, o prostych krawędziach i kształcie płaskiego prostopadłościanu lub sześcianu, służące do montażu mat wykonanych z włókien naturalnych.
