Osłona zewnętrzna jest złożona z połówki półcylindrycznej górnej i potówki półcylindrycznej dolnej, mających w środkowej części powierzchnię falistą (6). Krawędzie wzdłużne (12) połówki półcylindrycznej górnej i połówki półcylindrycznej dolnej (5) są zagięte na zewnątrz i tworzą kołnierze wzdłużne z wycięciami prostokątnymi (15 i 16), w których są osadzone opaski stalowe.
