Element mechanizmu rozkładania dwufunkcyjnego mebla z odchylaną podporą, posiadającego funkcję siedzenia i spania ma postać kątownika (1) o kącie prostym. Na jednej długiej krawędzi jednej ściany kątownika (1), w pobliżu jednego z końców kątownika (1), znajduje się półka (1a) wygięta pod kątem prostym do tej ściany, przy czym półka (1a) jest krótsza od długości kątownika (1) i węższa od jego szerokości, ponadto na obu ścianach kątownika (1) znajdują się otwory montażowe (1b).
