The industrial design concerns the specific shape and aesthetic qualities of upholstered lounge furniture, both for office and home use. Numerous design solutions are known for mass-produced wide dual-function upholstered lounge sofas, designed for both home and office use, with a representative character, consisting of a very wide seat and a relatively low backrest, and with very wide, flat armrests. This type of furniture typically has very low legs, or no legs at all, and gives the impression of very massive, representative interior design elements. The industrial design solves the problem of developing a new form of a dual-functional fold-out sofa, intended for seating for several people, and after unfolding for lying for one or two people, with a specific individual outline of its shapes, lines, proportions and colors, suitable for multiple reproduction in an industrial or artistic way. The subject of the industrial design is presented and illustrated in detail in the attached animated illustrations, in which Fig. 1 shows a perspective diagonal view from the right side from the front of the fold-out sofa, shown in the sitting position, Fig. 2 shows a perspective diagonal view from the right side from the front of the fold-out sofa, shown in the lying position, without two longitudinal removable backrest cushions, Fig. 3 shows a perspective diagonal view from the right side from the front of the fold-out sofa, shown in the position with the seat sub-assembly slightly raised (a bedding container is visible underneath the seat sub-assembly), wherein in this position the fold-out sofa is without two longitudinal removable backrest cushions, Fig. 4 shows a perspective diagonal view from the right side from the front of the detail of the right armrest and the right backrest cushion of the folding sofa), Fig. 5 shows a right-side perspective diagonal view from the front of the detail of the right armrest and the foot of the folding sofa, and Fig. 6 shows a left-side perspective diagonal view from the front of the detail of the front part of the left armrest and the left foot of the left seat of the folding sofa. The fold-out sofa consists of a movable seat sub-assembly with permanently attached integral box armrests (the seat sub-assembly is used for both sitting and lying down and therefore in the following description it will be referred to interchangeably as either the seat sub-assembly or the seat), a two-function sub-assembly of a foldable cuboidal backrest, a rectangular bedding container, which constitutes an under-seat box hidden under the lifted seat, and two identical, relatively low and long backrest cushions with a cross-section roughly resembling an inverted letter "J". When the backrest sub-assembly, pivotally attached to the bedding container, is in a vertical position, it serves to support two relatively long backrest cushions. When the backrest assembly is in a horizontal position after being tipped over, it serves as the second part of the bed (and therefore, in the following description, this assembly will be referred to interchangeably as the backrest or the second part of the bed). The front vertical seat rail is slightly recessed relative to the protruding front seat back 25 and the front surfaces of the relatively wide front planes of the box-shaped integral armrest sides, the upper horizontal plane of which coincides with the upper horizontal plane of the seat. The seat assembly is visually divided into two equal parts by a deep upholstery cutout in the center of the seat. Beneath the lower front horizontal edge of each of the wide box-shaped integral armrests 30 is a metal, wood, wood-based, or plastic foot of the sofa bed with a circular cross-section. The integral, box-shaped, mirror-image armrests of the sofa bed feature decorative elements in the corner section, both from the side and front, made of two interconnected halves of different ellipses. The decorative elements constitute a wide, slightly convex accentuation of the armrest sides. The decorative elements of the armrest sides, the front vertical seat strip, and both backrest cushions are covered with upholstery fabric, contrasting with the other surfaces of the furniture's upholstery. The dual-function backrest of the sofa bed is a regular cuboid and is significantly thinner than the seat assembly. When the sofa is ready for seating, the swinging backrest is supported by two relatively thin, rectangular (in the front view) covered corner and rounded edge backrest cushions, the front of which is clearly tilted backwards, which results in comfortable relaxation. The cross-section of both backrest cushions resembles an inverted "J" shape, as a result of which the cushions overlap the upper horizontal part of the backrest. All upholstered elements are covered with a furniture fabric with a relatively smooth texture. The seat and reclining backrest components are covered with a smooth-textured upholstery material, usually in a uniform color, clearly contrasting with the backrest cushions. Some versions of the sofa are covered with only one fabric. Variations of the sofa bed according to the pattern can be covered with different fabrics. The subject of the industrial design will be offered in commerce under the name: MARGO sofa bed. 20 Essential features of the industrial design. The sofa bed is characterized by the following essential features of the industrial design. The sofa bed consists of a movable seat assembly with permanently attached integral box-shaped armrests and a dual-function sub-assembly of a reclining rectangular backrest, a rectangular bedding container constituting an under-seat box hidden under the lift-up seat, and two identical, relatively low and long backrest cushions with a cross-section roughly resembling an inverted "J". The front vertical seat under-seat strip is slightly recessed relative to the protruding front seat back and the front surfaces of the relatively wide front box-shaped integral armrest sides, whose upper horizontal plane coincides with the upper horizontal plane of the seat. The seat assembly is visually divided into two equal parts by a deep upholstery cutout4 made in the center of the seat. The foot of the sofa bed is located under the lower horizontal front edge of each of the wide box-shaped integral armrests. The identical, mirror-image integral box-shaped armrests of the sofa bed feature, in side and front views, two interconnected halves of different ellipses in their corner sections—decorative elements that constitute a wide, slightly convex accentuation of the armrest sides. The decorative elements of the armrest sides, the front vertical seat strip, and both backrest cushions are covered with upholstery fabric, contrasting with the other upholstery surfaces of the furniture. The dual-function backrest of the sofa bed 10 has the character of a regular cuboid structure and is significantly thinner than the seat assembly. When the sofa is ready for seating, the swinging backrest supports two relatively thin rectangular (in the front view) enveloped corner and rounded edge backrest cushions, the front support surface of which is clearly tilted rearward. The cross-section of both backrest cushions resembles an inverted letter "J," as a result of which the cushions overlap the upper horizontal part of the backrest. 20 25FIG 3 FIG 4 FIG 5 F IG 1 FIG 2 FIG 6 PL PL
