The dagger is a component of the miners' ceremonial uniform. The essence of the industrial design is the new form of the object, manifested in its shape, line layout, surface properties, and color. The industrial design, in six variations, is shown in the attached photographs, where photos 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11 show the cutlass placed next to its scabbard, while photos 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 show the dagger placed in its scabbard. The cutlass has a hilt whose cross-shaped guard has a central rosette in the shaft with a wreath surrounding a crossed iron periwinkle, placed above two intertwined oak branches. The hilt's pommel is shaped like a truncated cone topped with two balls. The hilt is covered with black leather with a gold spiral ornament and tied with a red-and-white or black-and-green sash, finished with a black-and-green acid. The upper part of the cutlass blade, beneath the hilt guard, is decorated with an oriental, symmetrical pattern. The cutlass scabbard is covered with black leather with gold-colored metal fittings on the chape, hilt, and neck. A stylized image of an eagle is placed between the neck and hilt fittings. Two black leather breeches are attached to the neck and hilt bracers on one side. The cutlass blade is silver-colored metal, while the hilt guard and pommel are gold-colored metal. The essential features of the industrial design in the third and fourth variations are that the miner's dagger consists of a scabbard and a cutlass made of metal. The cutlass has a hilt with a cross-shaped guard in the form of a miner's pickaxe. The cutlass' hilt is shaped like a feathered eagle's neck, with a pommel stylized as a crowned eagle's head. Below the hilt's guard is an oval projection, covered with a floral ornament surrounding a crossed iron periwinkle. The hilt is tied with a red-and-white or black-and-green sash, finished with a black-and-green acid. The upper part of the cutlass' blade, beneath the hilt's guard, is decorated with an oriental, symmetrical pattern. The cutlass' scabbard is covered with black leather and features gold-tone metal fittings on the shoe, the hilt, and the neck. A stylized image of an eagle is placed between the neck and hilt fittings. The neck of the scabbard is set in a shallow leather pocket with two protruding lugs. The cutlass's blade is silver-colored metal, while the guard with its oval projection, hilt, and pommel are gold-colored metal. The essential features of the industrial design in the fifth and sixth variations are that the miner's sword consists of a scabbard and a metal cutlass.
