A dishwasher comprises a rinse container having an arm (1) that can rotate about a vertical axis and has rinsing nozzles (3) fed by a rotary pump. There is an elastic piece (4) that responds to differing pump pressures to activate or deactivate the spray nozzles. An independent claim is also included for an operating process for the above.
