Abstract

The hinge fitting comprises a first hinge part (1) to be secured on the frame of the window and a second hinge part (3) to be secured on the sash. The first hinge part (1) has on a base plate (2) a circular arc-shaped guide (7) which cooperates with an engagement set comprising a slide bar (8) essentially similar to the guide and rotationally mounted on a base plate (4) for the second hinge part (3) and a guide pin (10) to provide a pivoting movement for the window. In connection with the guide (7), the first hinge part (1) is provided with a braking device comprising a leaf spring (15) which, during at least a part of the pivoting movement, is in frictional engagement with at least one element of the engagement set on the second hinge part (3).
