Description
The subject of the invention is a method of gasification of carbon-based materials and a device for the application of this method.
Wadą tego rozwiązania jest skomplikowany proces rozdzielania produktów reakcji oraz niewielka zawartość CO.Hitherto known reactors have gasified carbon and / or carbon-based materials in a plasma generated by a silent, capacitive or inductive discharge in a CO 2 atmosphere. The disadvantage of these reactors is their operation in reduced pressure conditions. Another process solution uses a corona discharge in a hydrogen atmosphere in which the substrate is a mixture of coal and oil. As a result of the process, a complex solid-liquid phase mixture is obtained, consisting of carbon, liquid: hydrocarbon, unreacted oil and a mixture of gases, composed mainly of light hydrocarbons. The disadvantage of this solution is the complicated process of separating the reaction products and the low CO content.
Elektroda usytuowana w materiale węglopochodnym połączona jest z zasilaczem impulsowym wysokonapięciowym w postaci tyrystora i kondensatora w obwodzie pierwotnym transformatora impulsowego. The method according to the invention consists in that the carbon-derived material in the form of a fixed bed filling the corona reactor is subjected to a non-equilibrium plasma at atmospheric pressure and room temperature, but the plasma is generated by a pulsed corona discharge during CO 2 flowing through the carbon-based material according to or in countercurrent to the flowing electrolyte solution in the cooler, while the volume velocity of the carbon-based material is less than 800h _ 1 On the other hand, the device consists in the fact that the corona reactor in the form of a cylinder, on one side and the other side, is equipped with inlet and outlet stub pipes and is located coaxially in the cooler, preferably from a dielectric, but the cooler also has inlet and outlet connections on both sides. On the other hand, the corona reactor is filled with carbon-based material through which CO 2 flows in accordance or in countercurrent to the flowing electrolyte solution in the cooler. The corona electrode is located axially in the carbon-based material filling the corona reactor, while the outer part of the cooler is the outer cylindrical electrode. The electrode located in the carbon-based material is connected to the high-voltage impulse power supply in the form of a thyristor and a capacitor in the primary circuit of the impulse transformer.
Rozwiązanie będące przedmiotem wynalazku jest w porównaniu z konwencjonalnymi wyładowaniami koronowymi bezpieczniejsze z BHP-owskiego punktu widzenia, reaktor pracuje w układzie dwufazowym ciało stałe - gaz bez smół, olejów i ciekłych polimerów oraz poprzez wprowadzenie węgla i/lub materiału węglopochodnego uzyskuje się znacznie wyższe stężenia CO niz w przypadku pracy w atmosferze czystego CO 2.The solution that is the subject of the invention is safer from a health and safety point of view compared to conventional corona discharges, the reactor works in a two-phase system - solid - gas without tars, oils and liquid polymers, and by introducing carbon and / or carbon derivative material, much higher concentrations of CO are obtained than when working in a pure CO 2 atmosphere.
Wynalazek zostanie bliżej objaśniony na przykładzie wykonania przedstawionym schemacie na rysunku. The invention will be explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment shown in the diagram in the drawing.
W chłodnicy 4 przepływa roztwór elektrolitu 5, a zewnętrzna część stanowi zewnętrzną elektrodę cylindryczną. In this reactor 1 an axial coronating electrode 3 is placed. Corona reactor 1 is provided on one side with a stub pipe 7 at the inlet, and on the other with a stub pipe 10 at the outlet and is coaxially located in the cooler 4 preferably from a dielectric, but the cooler 4 also has a port 9 at the inlet and a port 8 at the outlet on the other side. An electrolyte solution 5 flows in the cooler 4, and the outer part is an outer cylindrical electrode. The corona electrode 3 is connected to a high-voltage switching power supply 6 with a thyristor Ty and a capacitor C in the primary circuit of the pulse transformer. After switching on the power supply 6, between the electrode 3 and the grains of the fixed bed 2 and the external electrode of the cooler 4 in the reactor 1, a non-equilibrium plasma is produced in the CO 2 atmosphere. The carbon-derivative material 2 in the form of a fixed bed filling the corona reactor 1 is subjected to non-equilibrium plasma under atmospheric pressure and room temperature. Plasma is generated by a pulsed corona discharge as CO 2 flows through the carbon derivative material 2 in accordance with or in countercurrent to the flowing electrolyte solution 5 in the cooler 4. In contrast, the volume velocity of the carbon derivative material 2 is less than 800 h -1 . If the reactor is not filled with the bed, then the electric discharge that generates the plasma also takes place, and the concentration of CO in the outgoing gas reaches only 3% by volume. Filling the reactor 1 with a bed in the form of granular material 2 causes the formation of a specific electric discharge on the surface of the solid phase, in the presence of active plasma components CO 2, CX, O x , O3, CO \, which causes a far-reaching simultaneous decomposition of CO 2 and a solid substrate to CO . The positive influence of the carbon substrate on the CO concentration is evidenced by the fact that while the CO / O2 ratio in the CO2 plasma without filling with full CO decomposition should be 2, after filling the reactor with brown coal it was 6.8 or 12 - depending on the grain diameter - 11.1 for peat and 4.8 unexpectedly for graphite. The case of graphite shows the specific interaction of amphibians with graphite, i.e. a substrate that does not contain oxygen, unlike peat or brown coal. This effect is extremely advantageous when comparing the concentration of CO, which does not exceed 1% by volume, and in the case of pyrolysis of carbons in an argon or hydrogen plasma,
