Abstract

The invention relates to a storage envelope for documents, consisting of a plastic film material. Said storage envelope comprises a front cover (6) and a rear cover (8) that is connected to the front cover by means of a folded spine (4) in order to form a document case. The front and rear covers (6, 8) are connected to each other by a first seam (12) on a lower edge (10) extending transversally in relation to the folded spine (4). According to the invention, a second seam (14) connecting the front cover (6) to the rear cover (8) and forming a lower bordering edge of the document case is arranged transversally to the folded spine (4), at a distance from the first seam (12).
