Abstract

The device has a cleaning medium container (1), water, compressed air (3), valves, pipelines, cleaning central unit, pump, check valves, mixing points and pressure reducing unit to provide foam (16). The foam is applied on a circulating conveyor belt by a spray rod (14) through a set of openings (15). The spray rod has boreholes, and the sum of the cross sectional surfaces of the boreholes is smaller or equal to the cross sectional surface of the spray rod. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for cleaning a circulating conveyor belt of a paper machine (2) a method for retrofitting a cleaning system for cleaning a circulating conveyor belt of a paper machine.
