A method for selective recovery of lead from sulphide-oxide waste comprising melting in a rocking-rotary furnace with the addition of lump iron, characterized in that 15-25 parts by weight of iron scrap are introduced into the furnace per 100 parts by weight of waste, and the reduction of components is carried out at a temperature of 800-1050°C, preferably wherein the iron scrap is introduced after melting the waste.

Description

Przedmiotem wynalazku jest sposób selektywnego odzysku ołowiu z odpadów siarczkowo-tlenkowych, uzyskiwanych w procesie produkcji miedzi. The subject of the invention is a method for the selective recovery of lead from sulphide-oxide waste obtained in the copper production process.

There is known from the Polish patent specification No. 90 053 a method of processing lead dust obtained in the dedusting of flue gases from metallurgical units for the production of copper matte and copper, which consists in introducing preferably in a pendulum-rotary furnace in a lumped form, 22 - 44% by weight of oxidized lead dust, 48-68% by weight of unoxidized lead dust, containing tarry products of reductive pyrolysis of fossil coal, anhydrous sodium carbonate in an amount of 3-8% by weight and lump iron at an amount of 8-15% by weight. The charge is first dried in a strongly oxidizing atmosphere obtained by introducing air into the burner with a content of 30 - 40% by volume oxygen. After drying, the charge is oxidized in the solid phase, maintaining the current composition of the air introduced to the burner. The furnace atmosphere is then changed to a weak oxidizing atmosphere by introducing air with 21-30 vol% oxygen into the burner and the charge melts, and normal oxygen air is introduced into the burner maintaining an inert atmosphere. After the batch has reacted, the contents of the furnace are poured into a ladle and, after standing, the raw lead is discharged and directed to refining.

The method of selective recovery of lead from sulphide-oxide waste, involving melting in a shuttle-rotary furnace with the addition of lump iron, is characterized in that for 100 parts by weight of waste, 15 - 25 parts by weight of iron scrap are introduced into the furnace, and the reduction of components is carried out at a temperature of 800 -1050 ° C, preferably the iron scrap is introduced after the waste has been melted.

The sulphide waste used is sludge from wet cleaning of shaft furnace exhaust gases in an amount of 70-80% by weight, and as oxide waste - dusts from the dedusting of waste gases from the electric furnace for copper slag removal in the amount of 20-30% by weight.

The method according to the invention makes it possible to obtain raw lead of very high purity and to significantly shorten the smelting time compared to the known method. In addition, there are low losses of lead, zinc and copper to the waste slag and a high degree of sulfur transition to the slag, resulting in low sulfur dioxide emissions to the atmosphere.

W przykładzie wykonania sposobu, według wynalazku, w piecu wahadłowo-obrotowym poddano stapianiu szlam szybowy, pyły tlenkowe z odpylania gazów odlotowych z pieca elektry185 367 cznego oraz kawałkowy złom żelaza,. Namiar tych materiałów do pieca wynosił 12150 kg. Skład chemiczny i udział poszczególnych składników był następujący:In an embodiment of the method according to the invention, shaft sludge, oxide dusts from electric furnace off-gas dedusting and scrap iron were melted in the shuttle-rotating furnace. The weight bearing of these materials on the furnace was 12150 kg. The chemical composition and share of individual components was as follows:

szlam szybowy: 45% Pb, 4,5% Zn, 11% S, 3% Cu, 13,5% C 8950 kg pyły tlenkowe: 36% Pb, 16% Zn, 0,1% As, 2% Cu 2000 kg złom żelaza 1200 kgshaft sludge: 45% Pb, 4.5% Zn, 11% S, 3% Cu, 13.5% C 8,950 kg oxide dust: 36% Pb, 16% Zn, 0.1% As, 2% Cu 2,000 kg iron scrap 1200 kg

The reduction of the components was carried out at the temperature of 1000 ° C for 4 hours, and the iron scrap was introduced after 3 hours from charging the sludge and dusts.

Otrzymano 3350 kg ołowiu surowego zawierającego 98,82% Pb, żużel odpadowy zawierający 4% Pb oraz gazy. Stopień ekstrakcji ołowiu wynosi 98%.3350 kg of crude lead containing 98.82% Pb, waste slag containing 4% Pb and gases were obtained. The lead extraction rate is 98%.
