Abstract

The invention relates to a gas device, in particular a gas hob, comprising at least one gas tap (7) for a gas burner (1) and a controller (35), provided with an electrical switch (67, 69) which generates an operating signal for the controller (35) on a pushing or turning operation of the gas tap (7). According to the invention, a simple construction and reliable operation of the electrical switch may be achieved, whereby the electrical switch (67, 69) is embodied within the gas tap (7).
