Abstract

The chair (1) has a backrest (4) connected to a support (2) over a back rest support, where the backrest has an adjustable lumbar support as well as a seat surface (5), which is attached at the support. An inclination position of the backrest and an adjusting position of the lumbar support are coupled with one another over a coupling unit e.g. bowden cable, in such that a downwardly directed tilting movement of the backrest causes a change of the adjusting position of the lumbar support, in particular relaxation of the lumbar support.
