Abstract

The rail (1) has a screwing channel (2) for engaging self-cutting screws and including two channel flanks (3a, 3b) that are laid opposite to each other. One of the flanks is partially provided with a parallel groove structure (4) for perpendicularly guiding the screw during a screwing operation. The structure transversely extends to a longitudinal direction of the rail, and is formed by coining in the screwing channel. The structure includes grooves, where a cross section of each groove has a basic form of an equilateral triangle or trapezoid.
