Abstract

The crate (1), for transport and storage, has two adjacent side walls (10,20) held together by guides (51,52) in guide paths (41,42), without a swing axis, at the first side wall and the base (30). The upper section (22) of a side wall is inserted vertically into the first guide path (41) and the lower section is passed horizontally into the second guide path (42). The side wall of an empty crate is folded by moving the bottom section towards the center of the base and lowering the upper section in its vertical guide path, and vice versa.
