PL PL PLSchool Furniture The right to register an ornamental design has been in effect since September 6, 2000. The design covers a new form of school furniture, such as a desk and a table. Instead of the typical legs and sides of a box, two openwork side panels are used, acting simultaneously as side walls and legs. The resulting furniture is characterized by an original shape and openwork construction, creating a feeling of lightness. The furniture was designed for children, but thanks to its unique appearance and useful features, it can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It is used as classroom equipment in educational institutions, as home furniture, and even as office furniture. The essence of the ornamental design is the new form of school furniture – the table and the bench – manifested in their original shape and, in particular, in the distinctive pattern of cutouts in the side walls. The subject of the decorative pattern is shown in the photographs, where Fig. 1 shows a bench with an opening top in a front and side view, Fig. 2 the same bench with a raised top showing the chest located there, Fig. 3 the same bench in a back and side view, Fig. 4 a table with a pull-out shelf in a front view, Fig. 5 in a side view. The school furniture, both the bench and the table, in the ornamental style, are characterized by legs in the form of two nearly rectangular boards with holes and cutouts, connected at the back by a strip, and a storage compartment under the profiled tabletop, as shown in the attached drawings Fig. 1 and Fig. 4. The bench has a chest with an opening top, as shown in Figs. 2 and 3. The sides of the chest form the upper parts of the boards and the walls: a rear wall and a diagonal front wall, while the bottom of the chest is closed by a fixed bottom board. The bench top is attached to the rear wall with hinges and, when lowered, rests on the rear and front walls, as shown in Figs. 2 and Fig. 3. The table, under the top, has an open-front storage compartment with a movable, extendable bottom board, and an additional shelf parallel to the tabletop at the bottom. The table legs are connected at the back by an additional strip. The table top rests on the leg plates and the back wall, as shown in the attached drawings Fig. 3 and Fig. 4. Both pairs of legs are made from a single piece of material such as a wooden or plastic board. The legs of both the bench and the table are characteristically profiled so that the rear edges of the legs are concave for about 1/5 of their length, while the front edges of the legs are diagonally cut towards the rear edges of the legs for about 1/5 of their length, while for the remaining 4/5 of their length they are bent in a gentle arc towards the front. In the middle plane of the legs there are trapezoidal holes with rounded corners, while in the lower plane there are arched cutouts forming legs as shown in Fig. 1 - Fig. 5. In the side view, the table legs resemble the shape of a stylized letter "A" - The table and bench tops have profiled edges on the side of the seat. PL PL PL
