Abstract

The floor has a base layer (2) arranged on a stabilized floor base (1) and constituted of compacted rubber aggregates connected by a binder e.g. polymerizable resin. The base layer has a thickness ranging between 2-12 millimeters, and comprises a rough upper surface (6) provided with multidirectional striations. A surface layer (3) is constituted of free rubber aggregates, and has a thickness ranging between 10-50 millimeters, where the surface layer covers the base layer. The aggregates are obtained by recycling worn tires. An independent claim is also included for a method of forming an equestrian floor.
