Opis wynalazkuDescription of the invention
Wytwarzane stopy wstępne CuLi2, posiadając zbyt niską zawartość Li, nie pozwalają na wytwarzanie stopów zawierających w swym składzie Ag o zawartości powyżej 90%, niską zawartość Cu i wysoką zawartość Li.The subject of the invention is a process for the production of an Ag-Li pre-alloy containing 5 - 15% Li, intended for the production of Ag-based hard binders. For the production of alloys, and especially Ag-Cu-Li alloys used as binders, it is preferable that the Li introduced into the alloy is added in the form of a pre-alloy containing an increased and determined Li content. Such an alloy is introduced into a metal base bath due to its low melting point, ranging from 410-450 ° C, and its ease of fusing, unlike, for example, the Cu-Li alloy. US Pat. No. 2,196,306 describes an Ag-Li alloy containing from 0.002 to 3% Li and from 1 to 30% of components selected from the group consisting of Cd and Zn, the remainder being Ag. The alloy of this invention is prepared by melting all components in the correct proportions, while lithium is added to a molten Ag-Cu alloy bath as a silver lithium transition alloy containing about 15% Li. The result of the presence of lithium in the silver bath is its complete deoxidation and liberation from other harmful impurities, while some of the lithium is removed with these impurities and the rest affects the fluidity of the material during casting. The technology of the CuLi2 preliminary alloys produced so far, containing about 15% Li, has not been disclosed to the general public. The CuLi2 pre-alloys produced, having too low Li content, do not allow for the production of alloys containing Ag content above 90%, low Cu content and high Li content.
Nie można jednak według przedstawionego w tym opisie sposobu wytwarzać stopu wstępnego Ag z Li.There is also known from the Polish patent specification No. PL 111525 (B1) a method for the production of silver-copper alloys containing the addition of lithium, i.e. the finished Ag-Cu binder, with a chemical composition similar to the eutectic composition, and containing an addition of lithium in an amount up to 0.3% by weight. The alloying process is carried out in a vacuum furnace, in a metallic crucible that can be made of armco iron. First, the required amount of Ag and Cu is placed in the crucible, and after the furnace is closed, a vacuum of 1.33-13.3 Pa is created, and then the introduced material is melted with its simultaneous degassing. After melting and degassing, an inert gas, preferably argon, is introduced into the furnace chamber, the pressure is raised to a value of the order of 13,330 Pa, and the prescribed amount of Li is added at this pressure. After the Li additive has melted and the kiln is mixed, the melt is poured into an ingot mold. However, the Ag / Li pre-alloy cannot be produced according to the process described in this description.
In the method of producing the Ag-Li pre-alloy according to the invention, in which a charge containing Ag is introduced into a crucible made of armco iron in a vacuum induction furnace, and then it is melted with the addition of Li in an argon atmosphere, the obtained alloy is poured into an ingot mold , it is important that the charge containing Li and Ag is introduced into the armco iron crucible, where first Li is introduced to the bottom of the crucible, which is then covered with a layer of Ag, air is pumped out of the furnace chamber, and after obtaining a vacuum of 1 - 3 hPa, the chamber is filled with argon and in the presence of argon at a pressure of 500 - 1000 hPa, the crucible is heated to a temperature not exceeding 600 ° C, then the charge is melted at this temperature for 0.25 h and the resulting Ag-Li alloy is poured under argon atmosphere to an ingot mold covered with a layer of kaolin and lime mixture, the ingot mold with the cast alloy is held for at least 0.5 h in an argon atmosphere, then the cooled pre-alloy with the ingot mold is taken out into the air.
Ponadto, zastosowanie stopu wstępnego Ag-Li według wynalazku do wytwarzania stopów Ag-Cu-Li pozwala wytwarzać stopy Ag-Cu-Li w tyglach grafitowych, w miejsce obecnie stosowanych tygli metalowych wykonanych z ż elaza armco. The Ag-Li pre-alloy obtained by the process of the invention is an important charge component which facilitates the production of Li-containing binders. The introduction of a Li additive to the Ag-Cu base alloy using a high Li-content Ag-Li pre-alloy is an easy process, proceeding at a temperature lower than the temperature of the Ag-Cu bath, for example by about 200 ° C. The Ag-Li prealloy containing 5 - 15% Li can also be used to produce alloys with significantly reduced Ag content. Moreover, the use of the Ag-Li pre-alloy according to the invention for the production of Ag-Cu-Li alloys allows the production of Ag-Cu-Li alloys in graphite crucibles in place of the currently used metal crucibles made of armco iron.
Wlewnicę z odlanymThe method according to the invention is illustrated in the example below. The charge containing 78 g of Li and 522 g of Ag is introduced into a crucible made of armco iron and placed in a vacuum induction furnace, firstly at the bottom of the crucible, Li is introduced, which is then covered with a layer of Ag. Then the air is evacuated from the furnace chamber, and after obtaining a vacuum of 2 hPa, the chamber is filled with argon, and in the presence of argon at a pressure of 500 hPa, the crucible is heated to 600 ° C, and then the charge is melted at this temperature for 0.25 h. The obtained Ag-Li alloy under argon is poured into an ingot mold covered with a layer of kaolin and lime mixture. Ingot mold with cast
Uzyskany tym sposobem stop wstępny zawiera 11% wagowych Li, resztę stanowi Ag.The alloy is maintained for a further 0.75 h in the furnace under an argon atmosphere, after which the ingot mold with the resulting pre-alloy is removed from the air furnace. The pre-alloy thus obtained contains 11 wt.% Li, the remainder being Ag.
