Opis wynalazkuDescription of the invention

Przedmiotem wynalazku jest wyrób chłonny. The present invention relates to an absorbent article.

Wynalazek dotyczy wyrobu chłonnego, takiego jak wkładka higieniczna, podpaska higieniczna lub wyrób ochronny dla osób nie panujących nad wydalaniem, do wchłaniania płynów zawierających krew i mocz, w skład którego to wyrobu wchodzi element chłonny zawierający materiał SAP.The invention relates to an absorbent article such as a panty liner, a sanitary napkin or an incontinence device for absorbing blood and urine containing fluids, which article includes an absorbent body containing SAP material.

Super Absorbent Polymer (SAP) materials have become popular for use in a variety of absorbent products. The SAP material has the ability to absorb liquids several times its own weight, which makes the SAP suitable for use as a component in, for example, absorbent members for panty liners, sanitary napkins or diapers.

Typically, the SAP material is added to the remaining absorbent body in the form of polymer particles. These particles are made up of superabsorbent polymer chains forming a network that is held together by cross-linking. Cross-linking agents are used to achieve this cross-linking.

For example, DE-A-19941423 discloses a SAP polymer and its preparation which comprises (a) 55-99.9% (by weight) of a polymerizable ethylene-containing monomer, (b) 0-40% (by weight) of a polymerizable copolymerization with (a) monomer, (c) 0.01-5.0, preferably 0.1-2.0% (by weight) of a crosslinker, and (d) 0-30% (by weight) of a water-soluble polymer.

The degree of cross-linking determines the flexibility of the material as well as its absorbent properties. The higher degree of cross-linking results in a material that is more brittle, but also has a higher initial fluid absorption capacity, i.e. SAP becomes fast but has a lower overall high capacity absorption, i.e. lower total capacity. The low degree of cross-linking results in a sticky, expandable material that has the ability to absorb large amounts of liquid. However, a low degree of cross-linking can result in relatively slow absorption. The reason for this is an increase in the diffusion constant and a faster swelling (with a higher degree of cross-linking), but a decrease in the total capacity ("Modern technology of superabsorbent polymers, Buchholz and Graham, Wiley-VCH, 1998). Therefore, a balance between these two extremes is desirable.

The high degree of cross-linking also results in a high shear stability. Shear strength is a measure of the ability of the SAP gel to withstand pressure without loss of fluid. Thus, a highly shear-stable SAP particle has a great ability to hold the fluid under load such as when the user of the absorbent article sits or lies in such a way that the article and the SAP particle therein are compressed.

W skład krwi wchodzi do około 45% krwinek i do około 55% osocza krwi. W skład osocza krwi wchodzą między innymi sole, woda i białka (między innymi albumina, IgG i fibrynogen). Białka stanowią około 7 do 8% plazmy krwi. Ilość białek w krwi jest rzędu 1017/ml krwi, a ilość krwinek jest rzędu 109/ml krwi. The fluids which have to be absorbed by the absorbent article in the category of panty liners, sanitary napkins, incontinence pads or tampons are mainly urine and blood containing fluids such as menstrual fluid. Urine is a water-based solution that includes various salts, among others. Blood has a higher viscosity than urine. Blood comprises up to about 45% of blood cells and up to about 55% of blood plasma. Blood plasma includes, among others, salts, water and proteins (including albumin, IgG and fibrinogen). Proteins make up about 7 to 8% of the blood plasma. The amount of proteins in the blood is on the order of 10 17 / ml of blood and the amount of blood cells is on the order of 10 9 / ml of blood.

W trakcie wchłaniania krwi przez cząstkę SAP białka bę dą oddziaływały z dużo większą intensywnością niż krwinki z powierzchnią cząstek SAP. Białka oddziałują negatywnie na pojemność chłonną cząstek SAP. Cząstki SAP służą głównie do wchłaniania wody. Zatem istotne jest skonstruowanie powierzchni cząstek SAP w taki sposób, żeby ułatwić transport molekuł wody do cząstek. Nadając powierzchni cząstek SAP właściwości hydrofilowe zmniejsza się zdolność białek do oddziaływania z powierzchnią cząstek. Badania (Nadarajah i inni, „Modelowanie dynamiki wchłaniania białek przez powierzchnie z ACS Symposium Series 602, Białka i powierzchnie przejściowe, II-Fundamentals and Applications (Horbett and Brasch, 1995): rozdział 13) wykazały, że powierzchnia hydrofilowa skutkuje mniejszym stopniem oddziaływania białek. Ponadto duża różnica w stężeniu jonów wewnątrzAs blood is absorbed by the SAP particle, the proteins will interact with a much greater intensity than the blood cells with the surface of the SAP particles. Proteins negatively affect the absorbent capacity of SAP particles. SAP particles are mainly used to absorb water. Thus, it is important to design the surface of the SAP particles in such a way as to facilitate the transport of water molecules to the particles. By rendering the surface of the SAP particles hydrophilic, the ability of the proteins to interact with the surface of the particles is reduced. Studies (Nadarajah et al., "Modeling the dynamics of protein absorption by surfaces from ACS Symposium Series 602, Proteins and Transition Surfaces, II-Fundamentals and Applications (Horbett and Brasch, 1995: Chapter 13) have shown that a hydrophilic surface results in a lower degree of protein interaction. . However, water molecules are polar and will therefore interact very intensively with the hydrophilic surface. The same is true for salts that are in the form of ions in the aqueous solution and will also be attracted to the surface of the SAP particles. In this way, the transport of water and salt to the surface of the SAP particles, and hence their ability to be absorbed by the SAP particles, will be increased at the expense of the accumulation of proteins on the surface if the surface of the SAP particles is hydrophilic. In addition, a large difference in the concentration of ions inside

PL 206 459 B1 i na zewną trz czą stek SAP moż e dać wysokie ciś nienie osmotyczne, które przyczynia się do wysokiej zdolności chłonnej. And externally to the SAP particles can give rise to a high osmotic pressure which contributes to a high absorption capacity.

In this way, the different liquids to be absorbed by the absorbent article in the technical field of the invention are different with respect to their chemical properties.

Obecnie istnieje szereg wyrobów związanych z wchłanianiem płynów mających różne właściwości chemiczne. W opisie WO97/13484 ujawniono tak zwany gradient porów do wchłaniania płynów ustrojowych. Ten gradient porów rozciąga się w kierunku Z, w kierunku grubości, i składa się z kilku warstw materiału chłonnego mających różne wymiary porów w celu skutecznego wchłaniania płynów.Today, there are a number of fluid absorption products with different chemical properties. WO97 / 13484 discloses a so-called pore gradient for body fluid absorption. This pore gradient extends in the Z direction, in the thickness direction, and consists of several layers of absorbent material having different pore sizes for efficient fluid absorption.

W opisie EP-A-1077051 ujawniono wkładkę higieniczną zbudowaną z dwóch warstw materiału, w której warstwa dolna zawiera materiał SAP. W WO96/23474 ujawniono wyrób chł onny do wch ł aniania płynów ustrojowych. Jednakże żaden z tych dokumentów nie ujawnia materiału SAP, który jest specjalnie przystosowany do wchłaniania krwi.EP-A-1077051 discloses a panty liner composed of two material layers, the bottom layer of which comprises SAP material. WO96 / 23474 discloses a cool article for the absorption of body fluids. This product essentially consists of two components: a collecting component and a storage component. The purpose of the collection component, which is located between the fluid source (carrier) and the storage component, is to collect, for example, blood cells, and to allow the liquid phase to be transported to and stored in the storage component. The storage component includes SAP. However, none of these documents disclose SAP material that is specially adapted to absorb blood.

Furthermore, US-A-5241009 describes an absorbent article that can be used to absorb blood. This document recommends a degree of cross-linking of about 0.12.0% for blood absorption. US-A-5985432 discloses a SAP with a degree of cross-linking of 0.001 to 5% (per mole). In this case, the absorbent material comprises a polyether and / or polycationic bond to the absorbent polymer, which results in a contact angle for blood in the range of 0 to 40 °. Such SAP materials having a relatively low degree of cross-linking, however, are mainly suitable for water or urine absorption. Since these devices are not designed to allow the absorption of blood, with a specific blood composition, they tend not to function in cases where both urine and blood must be absorbed.

W opisie EP-A-278601 ujawniono chł onny materiał kompozytowy do stosowania w wyrobie chłonnym. W skład tego materiału kompozytowego wchodzi polimer wchłaniający wodę, nierozpuszczalny w wodzie materiał nieorganiczny i nierozpuszczalny w wodzie hydrofilowy materiał włóknisty. Jednakże nie ujawniono materiałów superabsorpcyjnych. Jednym z celów tego rozwiązania jest wchłanianie płynów o zmiennej lepkości.EP-A-278601 discloses a cool composite material for use in an absorbent article. This composite material comprises a water-absorbent polymer, a water-insoluble inorganic material, and a water-insoluble hydrophilic fiber material. However, superabsorbent materials are not disclosed. One of the goals of this solution is the absorption of fluids of variable viscosity.

Celem jest zapewnienie materiału, w którym uniknięto problemu blokowania żelowego i zoptymalizowano właściwości przepuszczalne.WO98 / 06364 discloses an absorbent macrostructure which comprises an aggregate of bound particles comprising cross-linked particles of, for example, a substantially water-insoluble, absorbent, hydrogel-forming, polymeric material. The aim is to provide a material that avoids the gel blocking problem and optimizes the permeability properties.

Accordingly, in this technical area there are many technical solutions for the absorption of blood and urine. A still unresolved problem, however, is the effective absorption of blood and urine by the same absorbent element. Thus, there is a need for an absorbent element which element is formed in such a way that both blood and urine can be absorbed in such an efficient manner that the risk of leakage is minimized.

The object of the present invention is to provide an absorbent article with an absorbent element, which absorbent element is constructed in such a way that both urine and blood-containing fluids are highly absorbed.

These and other objects are achieved with the present invention, which discloses an absorbent article, such as a panty liner, a sanitary napkin, an incontinence device, or a tampon designed to absorb blood or menstrual fluids that includes a liquid-permeable topsheet. to face the user in use, a liquid-impermeable backsheet facing away from the user in use, and an absorbent member that includes superabsorbent polymers (SAP). The product is characterized in that the SAP material is in at least two variants, where the first variant is a SAP material with a degree of cross-linking in the range of 0.02 to 2.0%, and the second variant is a SAP material with a degree of cross-linking in the range of 3, 0 to 7.0%. In this way, the SAP material adapted to absorb urine is associated with the SAP material for absorbing blood-containing liquids.

In a preferred embodiment, the absorbent element comprises a top sheet and a bottom sheet, wherein the top sheet comprises SAP material which is adapted to absorb blood and the back sheet comprises SAP which is adapted to absorb urine. In this way, an advantageous absorption of both blood and urine is achieved, since the urine having a low viscosity is easily transported through the highly cross-linked top layer to the high swellability bottom layer.

Fig. 1 shows the main sketch of a sanitary napkin 1 according to the invention. However, the invention is not limited to sanitary towels, but may also be used in other products such as panty liners, incontinence pads, and tampons that are designed to absorb blood, menstrual fluid, and / or urine. In one embodiment, the sanitary napkin may include two short sides 2, 3 and two long sides 4, 5. A liquid-permeable topsheet 6 is provided on the side of the sanitary towel 1 facing the wearer during use. The liquid-permeable topsheet 6 preferably comprises a soft, skin-friendly material. Examples of suitable liquid-permeable materials are various types of non-woven fibrous materials. Other useful surface layers are perforated plastic films, meshes, knitted, lace or woven textiles, and combinations and laminates of the types of materials mentioned.

The liquid-impermeable backsheet 7 consists of a liquid-impermeable material. Thin, liquid-resistant plastic films are suitable for this purpose, but it is also possible to use materials which are initially liquid-permeable, but which are provided with a coating of plastic, resin or some other liquid-resistant material. In this way, leakage of liquids from the underside of the absorbent article is prevented. The backsheet 7 may thus comprise any material which meets the criteria of liquid impermeability and has adequate flexibility and is skin-friendly. Examples of materials that can be used as a backsheet are plastic films, nonwovens and laminates thereof. The plastic film can, for example, be polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester or plastic fibers. Alternatively, the backsheet may consist of a laminate of a liquid-permeable plastic layer facing the absorbent body and a nonwoven fabric facing the wearer's underwear. This type of construction provides a leakproof layer having textile properties. The liquid-blocking backsheet 7 can also consist of a vapor-permeable material. A breathable backsheet 7 of this type can, for example, be a so-called S-M-S (spunbond-meltblown-spunbond) material or a breathable plastic film made of polyethylene. A plastic film of this type is disclosed in EP-A-283200. In order to maintain air circulation, even when the material is applied to the article, the underside should not be completely covered with the securing means.

The two wrapping layers (topsheet and backsheet 6, Z) can be joined together and optionally form a protruding connecting edge 8 around the contour line of the sanitary napkin. The connection may be made by any technique suitable for the purpose, such as gluing, welding or sewing. These two wrapping layers are not essential but may be appropriate in some cases.

Between the topsheet and backsheets 6, 7 is disposed a thin, flexible absorbent element 11, which may consist of one or more material layers 12, 13. The absorbent element 11 is suitably manufactured from one or more layers of cellulose pulp. The pulp may initially be in the form of rolls, bales or sheets which, during the production of the sanitary napkin, are dry defibrated and converted from a fluff to a pulp mat, sometimes containing so-called superabsorbents, which are polymers capable of absorbing water or body fluids. in quantities several times their weight. An alternative to this is dry forming a pulp mat such as that described in WO94 / 10965. Examples of other useful absorbent materials are various types of natural fibers such as cotton, peat, or the like. Naturally, it is also possible to use synthetic absorbent fibers, or particles of a highly absorbent polymeric material of this type, which, on absorption, chemically bind large amounts of liquid during the formation of a liquid-containing gel or a mixture of natural fibers or synthetic fibers. Absorbent element 11 may further include additional components such as form stabilizing agents, fluid-spreading agents, or adhesives such as, for example, thermoplastic fibers that have been heat-treated to attach short fibers and particles to the connecting element. It is also possible to use different types of absorbent foam materials in the absorbent element. Yet another variant is to manufacture the absorbent body only from SAP material.

Fig. 2 shows a cross section of a fibrous structure that is partially compressed. The fibrous structure can be, for example, plastic, pulp, SAP or a mixture of these materials.

Korzystnie, pierwszy wariant SAP ma stopień usieciowania w przedziale od 0,1 do 1,0%, a drugi wariant ma stopień usieciowania w przedziale 4,0 do 5,0%.In a first embodiment of the invention, the cooling element comprises two different SAP materials, the first variant having a degree of crosslinking in the range of 0.02 to 2.0% and the second variant having a degree of crosslinking in the range of 3.0 up to 7.0%. Further, the term "first SAP variant refers to the SAP variant having a low degree of crosslinking, and" the second SAP variant refers to the SAP variant having a high degree of crosslinking. Thus, the first variant is a conventional SAP material with high swellability and thus urine absorption. The second variant is SAP material disclosed in SE0103961-9 (filed November 27, 2001), which document is hereby incorporated by reference. The latter variant is particularly suitable for the absorption of blood-containing fluids due to its high degree of cross-linking and its hydrophilic surface. Thus, an absorbent element capable of absorbing both blood and urine is provided. Preferably, the first SAP variant has a degree of crosslinking in the range of 0.1 to 1.0% and the second variant has a degree of crosslinking in the range of 4.0 to 5.0%.

Typowo, pierwszy wariant SAP ma odporność na ścinanie niższą niż 10 kPa, normalnie około 5 kPa.In another embodiment, the second variant of the SAP which is adapted to absorb blood has a shear strength greater than 18 kPa, preferably greater than 25 kPa, more preferably greater than 30 kPa. A SAP material with such shear stability has particularly favorable blood absorption properties. Further details on the production of SAP particles according to the second variant as well as its absorption properties are given in SE0103961-9. Typically, the first variant of SAP has a shear strength of less than 10 kPa, normally about 5 kPa.

The shear strength of the SAP gel (shear modulus) can be determined, for example, with TA AR 1000 N instruments. For example, 2.5 ml of 0.9% NaCl solution is added to a 0.5 gram SAP sample. The elastic modulus of SAP samples is determined using TA AR 1000 N instruments. The analysis is performed with a parallel acrylic plate 40 mm thick, with a scratch pattern at 20 ° C. The procedure includes subjecting the samples to oscillations in the range of 0.1 to 100 Hz. The oscillating shear stress is 10.00 Pa. The measured shear stress is called G 'and is measured at a frequency of 1 Hz.

The superabsorbent polymers (SAPs) of the invention are prepared from polyacrylic acid monomers which can be obtained, for example, from KeboLab. These monomers are then processed to form polymers. They are added to other absorbent material in the form of beads, granules, foam, fibers, threads, foil or the like. For the purposes of the invention, granules with an approximate size of 100 to 850 µm are recommended. Naturally, other production methods can also be used as long as they can obtain SAP materials with the above-mentioned properties.

Do innych materiałów, jakie można stosować do wytwarzania polimerów superabsorpcyjnych odpowiednich do stosowania w wynalazku, należą hydrolizowane szczepione kopolimery skrobi z akrylonitrylem, szczepione kopolimery skrobi z kwasem akrylowym, zmydlone kopolimery octanu winylu z estrem akrylu, hydrolizowane kopolimery akrylonitrylu, hydrolizowane kopolimery akryloamidu, kopolimery etylenu z bezwodnikiem maleinowym, kopolimery izobutylenu z bezwodnikiem maleinowym, poli(kwas winylosulfonowy), poli(kwas winylofosfonowy), poli(kwas winylofosforowy), poli(kwas winylosiarkowy), sulfonowany polistyren, poli(kwas asparaginowy), poli(kwas mlekowy), oraz ich mieszaniny, jak również mieszaniny wspomnianych powyżej związków i kwasu poliakrylowego. Other materials that can be used to make superabsorbent polymers suitable for use in the invention include hydrolyzed starch-acrylonitrile graft copolymers, starch acrylic acid graft copolymers, saponified vinyl acetate acrylic ester copolymers, hydrolyzed acrylonitrile copolymers, hydrolyzed acrylamide copolymers of ethylene copolymers, with maleic anhydride, isobutylene maleic anhydride copolymers, poly (vinyl sulfonic acid), poly (vinyl phosphonic acid), poly (vinyl phosphoric acid), poly (vinyl sulfuric acid), sulfonated polystyrene, poly (aspartic acid), poly (lactic acid), and mixtures thereof as well as mixtures of the abovementioned compounds and polyacrylic acid. Of course, it is also possible to use other combinations of materials known in the art and these are also within the scope of the invention.

The polymer chains are held together by cross-linking, which is accomplished by adding a cross-linking agent such as methyl bisacrylamide (MBA) to the original polymers. Other possible crosslinkers include, for example, aluminum sulfate, N, N'-methylenebisacrylamide, N, N'-methylenebismethacrylamide, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate, and trimethylpropane triacrylate. It should be understood by those skilled in the art that other cross-linking agents that will provide the desired cross-linking are also within the scope of the invention.

Te filtry metalowe mają dostatecznie duże oczka dla przejścia przez nie krwinek (około 10 μm średnicy).According to the invention, the crosslinker is added to the SAP polymer at a concentration of 0.02% to 2% (per mole), preferably 0.1 to 1% (per mole) for the first variant and 3 to 7% (per mole), preferably 4 to 5% (per mole) for the second variant. For the second variant, these values have turned out to result in particularly advantageous absorption properties for blood or menstrual fluid. These values are measured at a load of 2 kPa using the AUL (Absorption under Load) method in the AUL cell, which was modified by replacing the standard filter with a metal filter (mesh size 100 x 100 μm). These metal filters have sufficiently large meshes for blood cells to pass through them (approximately 10 µm in diameter).

Wspomniane tu wartości pojemności chłonnej mierzy się zgodnie z metodą edana 441.1-99 (odśrodkowa pojemność retencyjna). The values of the absorbent capacity mentioned here are measured according to the method of edana 441.1-99 (centrifugal retention capacity).

W wyrobie chłonnym według wynalazku kąt zwilżania dla drugiego wariantu materiału SAP, mierzony dla odwłóknionej krwi owczej wynosi mniej niż 60°, a korzystnie mniej niż 40°.The surface of the SAP particles is treated so as to preferably exhibit some degree of wettability (hydrophilicity). Wettability is measured by the so-called contact angle. Defibrinated sheep blood is conventionally used to measure the contact angle for SAP particles to be used to absorb blood containing fluids. The contact angle (see, for example, "Lexikon and Kemi, Gleerups forlag, 1976, 1st edition) is the angle between a surface and a drop of water on the surface. The more hydrophilic the surface, the more compressed (smaller angle) the droplet becomes. A surface with a contact angle of less than 90 ° is considered hydrophilic. In an absorbent article according to the invention, the contact angle for the second variant of SAP material, measured on defibrinated sheep blood, is less than 60 °, preferably less than 40 °.

Na przykład, do analizy wybiera się wielkości cząstek pomiędzy 100 a 315 μm.The contact angle between defibrinated sheep blood and SAP particles can be determined using the DAT 1100 Fibro System AB. The analyzes are performed, for example, in a normal laboratory environment at 22 ° C and 50% relative air humidity. For example, particle sizes between 100 and 315 µm are selected for analysis.

In order for the surface of the SAP particles to have the desired hydrophilicity, the surface is treated with a surface modifier such as aluminum chloride (AlCl3) and / or aluminum sulfate (Al2 (SO4) 3). When the surface of the SAP particle is treated with these ionic compounds, the chloride and / or sulfate ions dissociate and bond the trivalent positively charged aluminum ion to the surface. On absorption of water-containing liquids, the water dipole is then attracted to and will bind to the aluminum ion. Other surface modifiers that can be used include silicon compounds such as silicon oxides, organic compounds such as ethylene carbonate, and tensides. All surface modifiers that give the desired effect, i.e. the desired contact angle, are fully usable in the invention.

Uzyskany żel jest myty, suszony, mielony (Janke & Kundel, Analyzsen Mufce A 10) i frakcjonowany do wielkości w przedziale od 100 do 850 μm.The SAP material according to the second variant can, for example, be treated and surface-modified as follows: to a 25% acrylic acid solution, neutralized to 75%, methylene bisacrylamide is added to a degree of crosslinking of 0.1 to 10%. This reaction is initiated with 0.1% mole Va-044 (Wako Pure Chemical Industries LTD, Japan), and is neutralized with sodium ions (such as sodium hydroxide or sodium carbonate). The obtained gel is washed, dried, ground (Janke & Kundel, Analyzsen Mufce A 10) and fractionated to sizes ranging from 100 to 850 μm.

During surface cross-linking, the particles are evaporated in a solution of ethanol, aluminum chloride and sodium hydroxide. This is done by mixing 25 ml of 96% ethanol, 0.1 g of water-free AlCl 3 and 300 µl of 4M NaOH with 2 g of SAP. The blend is allowed to cross-link for approximately 30 minutes at 70 ° C during centrifugation. The ethanol is then removed in vacuo.

W zalecanym przykładzie wykonania według wynalazku, element chłonny zasadniczo zawiera warstwę górną 13 i warstwę dolną 12, dzięki czemu każdy z dwóch wariantów SAP jest zasadniczo obecny w jednej z tych dwóch warstw. W ten sposób jedna z tych warstw jest specjalnie przystosowana do wchłaniania krwi, a druga jest specjalnie przystosowana do wchłaniania moczu. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the absorbent element essentially comprises a top layer 13 and a bottom layer 12, whereby each of the two SAP variants is substantially present in one of the two layers. Thus, one of these layers is specially adapted to absorb blood and the other is specially adapted to absorb urine.

In a particularly preferred embodiment (Fig. 3) the SAP material of the upper layer 13 consists of the second variant SAP and the SAP material of the lower layer 12 consists of the first variant. In this way, an absorbent body is obtained in an absorbent article in which the top layer has a high degree of cross-linking and the bottom layer has a low degree of cross-linking. Urine 18, which is a low viscosity fluid, will flow easily through the top layer and will mainly be absorbed by the bottom layer. Blood-containing fluids 17, such as menstrual fluid, which fluids are relatively viscous, will be absorbed by the topsheet and thus not substantially flow down to the backsheet. Moreover, since the top layer is highly cross-linked, the risk of gel blockage is reduced as highly cross-linked polymers do not expand in the same way as weakly cross-linked polymers and therefore will not block fluid transport.

Celem tego przykładu wykonania jest rozmieszczenie stref SAP w taki sposób, żeby w trakcie używa8In another aspect of the invention, both variants of the SAP can be used such that zones are formed in / on the absorbent element. For example, in one embodiment (Fig. 4) a zone of the second variant SAP material (high degree of cross-linking) is placed in the center (longitudinally) of the absorbent element 20, and one, two or more zones of the first variant SAP material (low degree of cross-linking). crosslinking) is placed in front of the 21 and / or 22 (longitudinally) zone of the second variant. The purpose of this embodiment is to arrange the SAP zones such that it is in use8

They are located close to those parts of the user's body from which fluids to be absorbed, such as menstrual fluids and urine, are released.

In another embodiment (Fig. 5), the SAP zone of the second variant 23 is located centrally at the center of the absorbent element, e.g. in the form of a circle, whereby the SAP of the first variant is placed in a zone 24 around the SAP zone of the second variant 23. The purpose is to arrange the SAP variants in such a way as to obtain the most effective absorption of the desired body fluids.

Ponadto można stosować więcej niż dwie warstwy, gdzie różne warstwy zawierają różne składy materiału SAP.In yet another embodiment, the two SAP variants may be mixed in one layer or in several layers, as a result of which, for example, the relative proportions of the different SAP material variants are different in the different layers such that, for example, the top layer comprises the majority of The SAP of the second variant and the bottom layer contains most of the SAP of the first variant. Moreover, more than two layers may be used, where the different layers contain different compositions of the SAP material.

Other variants and combinations of the above-mentioned embodiments are also entirely possible, provided that the absorbent body comprises SAP-material of at least two variants as described above.

A user suffering from moderate urinary incontinence, for example, generally excretes at least a few ml of menstrual fluid and urine. According to a preferred embodiment, the invention is thus designed such that the top layer has a total absorption capacity of at least 2 ml, and the bottom layer has a total absorption capacity of at least 2 ml. In this way, 2 ml of blood containing fluid can advantageously be absorbed by the topsheet and 2 ml of urine can be absorbed by the backsheet. In another embodiment, the invention is designed such that the total absorbent capacities of the two layers taken together are 15-20 ml. Thus, the absorbent article according to the invention is, for example, particularly suitable for people with moderate urinary incontinence who also have menstruation, or for other users who excrete both urine and blood.

In one embodiment of the invention, the second variant SAP material has an absorbent capacity under a load of at least 6 g blood / g SAP, more preferably at least 10 g blood / g SAP, and most preferably at least 13 g blood / g SAP, and the first an embodiment has Absorptive Capacity Under Load (AUL) of at least 20 g saline / g SAP, more preferably at least 30 g saline / g SAP, and most preferably at least 35 g saline / g SAP. By saline solution is meant here, for example, 0.9% NaCl solution, for example brine. The absorbent capacity is measured according to edana 441.1-99 (centrifugal retention capacity).

The SAP particles are added to the absorbent element in an amount of 1 to 100, preferably 10 to 60% of the total weight of the absorbent element in order to obtain a good spreading and / or absorption capacity.

Pomiędzy warstwą wierzchnią 6 a elementem chłonnym 11 można umieścić warstwę wlotową. An inlet layer can be placed between the topsheet 6 and the absorbent body 11. The function of the inlet layer is to direct the liquid into the absorbent article and transport it downwards to the absorbent element 11. The inlet layer may be a low density nonwoven material.

Fastening means can be provided on the underside of the absorbent article. The securing means preferably comprises glue, but may also be mechanical securing means such as hooks and loops, buttons, friction linings, clamping means or the like. The adhesive may be applied as one or more strips or any other pattern.

Alternatively, the entire underside of the absorbent article 1 is coated with an adhesive. It is also possible to use a fastening adhesive that is breathable and apply it to the entire underside of the article so that it functions as a combined liquid-proof layer and fastening means. Furthermore, the attachment means may or may not be body adhesives, hydrogels.

A protective layer may be applied to the securing means, e.g. when glue is used as the securing means. Preferably, the protective layer is siliconised paper, but other variants of the protective layers are of course also possible, such as waxed papers, embossed or release-treated plastic films, textile webs for fastening hooks and loops, etc.

An absorbent article according to the invention can furthermore also include fastening flaps 9 and 10 which are used along the long sides of the absorbent article. The purpose of these flaps is to fold them along the edge of the panties and thus keep the absorbent article in place. In addition, other types of fastening systems can be used.

Mainly the absorbent article of the invention is a panty liner, sanitary napkin or incontinence pad adapted to absorb urine, blood or menstrual fluid.

W jeszcze innym aspekcie, wynalazek dotyczy zastosowania opisanego powyż ej wyrobu do wchłaniania zarówno moczu, jak i płynów zawierających krew.In yet another aspect, the invention relates to the use of an article as described above for the absorption of both urine and blood-containing fluids.
