Dobre rozmieszczanie wodnych zawie¬ sin osiaga sie, poddajac kuliste formy ru- . rhowi obrotowemu wokolo trzech wzajem¬ nie prostopidjlych osi* Dla osiagniecia zadanego nadecia pilki mozna sie poslugiwac kilkoma sposobami. Dla wszelkiej pew¬ nosci zatyczke nagwintowana, drut i zatycz- ke dopelniajaca mozna przed wytwarza¬ niem pilki oddzielic i ogrzac do odpowied¬ niej temperatury okolo 100°, a nastepnie u- miescic ponownie w formie kulistej, poczem pilke formuje sie jaik opisano. Ten zabieg ogrzewania powoduje lepsze osadzanie sie gumy w okolicy zatyczki dopelniajacej, któ¬ ra w ten sposób tkwi pewniej w sciance wy¬ robu. Takie sztuczne zawiesiny wodne moga byc zawiesinami skoagulowanej gumy, gu¬ my wulkanizowanej, gumy syntetycznej, odpadków lub zrzynków. W razie potrzeby kazda z wyzej wymienionych zawiesin moz¬ na stosowac sama, albo w mieszaninie z inna.Kazda z wymienionych zawiesin moze zawierac zwykle znane skladniki wiazace i (albo) moze byc w postaci stezonej. Ponizej podano przyklad sposobu wy¬ robu wedlug wynalazku pilek do gry.Przygotowuje sie mieszanine mleka kau¬ czukowego z 60% -ego mleka kauczukowego, — 3 —otrzymanego prz^z odwirowanie o nastepujacym skladzie: gumy (w postaci mleka kauczukowego} 87,7 czesci wagowych, siarjci 1,5 „ dwusiarczku czlerometylotiuiramowego 0,30 ,r ff , oleju mmeralnego 5,0 „ ,f , sadzy lampowej 1,0 ,, ,, , sadzy gazowej 0,5 t, „ Zawartosc stala wynosi w przyblizeniu 45 — 50%. PL PLThe present invention relates to the production of playing balls, e.g. tennis balls, without seams. Until now, the internal reservoir in playing balls, e.g. tennis balls, is usually made of appropriately shaped strips of complex rubber mixtures. Gluing these strips is very difficult and imprecise, which is why faulty strip connections often occur, causing leaks in the balls. In some cases, the spherical reservoir is made of two hemispherical sections of complex rubber mixtures, but this does not eliminate the difficulties of manual handling or the resulting risk of leaks in the connections. Tennis balls and similar inflatable balls can also leak for the following three possible reasons, namely: 1. due to the very complex composition of the rubber mixture from which they are made is a spherical gas reservoir, 2. due to imprecision of connections caused by the considerable size of the components, which are bent at the edges, 3. due to insufficient sealing of the opening, which is introduced only when using devices such as a hypodermic needle for this purpose. It is therefore desirable to be able to produce balls for playing, e.g. tennis balls, from liquid rubber or similar substances, which can be evenly distributed inside a spherical mold and then solidified, producing a hollow rubber or similar bladder of uniform wall thickness, free from seams. According to the present invention, a method for producing balls for playing, e.g. tennis balls, consists in introducing into hollow spherical molds predetermined amounts of the aqueous suspensions described below, which are capable of shearing, or which have been given this ability by the action of heat, then closing the molds, subjecting them to a rotational movement around a variable axis and effecting complete shearing of the above-mentioned suspensions. It is desirable that the molds containing the above-mentioned aqueous suspensions are subjected to a rotational movement for some time before the suspensions are completely sheared, and furthermore it is desirable that the molds are still in a rotational movement during the period of shearing of the suspensions. Shearing of the aqueous suspensions described above and contained in the molds can be effected by heating the molds externally. After shearing of the said suspensions, the molds are cooled, opened and the balls dried. Then the balls are placed back in the molds and vulcanized. It is desirable to carry out vulcanization under such conditions that the external pressure on the ball was much smaller than the pressure of the ball on the mold, for example by immersing the mold in boiling water or heating it with superheated steam. To achieve uniform distribution of the aqueous suspension in empty spherical molds, these molds can be rotated simultaneously around two or three axes, perpendicular to each other. An approximately uniform distribution of the above-mentioned aqueous suspensions can be achieved by placing, for example, spherical molds on two cylindrical rollers rotating in the same direction, with these rollers simultaneously moving in reciprocal motions in opposite directions with respect to each other along their horizontal axes. Good distribution of aqueous suspensions is achieved by subjecting the spherical molds to rubbing. rotation around three mutually perpendicular axes* Several methods can be used to achieve the desired inflation of the ball. Inflation can be achieved, for example, by dropping a capsule or ampoule, e.g. a paraffin one, containing a mixture that produces gas, e.g. a moist mixture of sodium nitrite and ammonium chloride, into the liquid-water dispersion mould described above. In this case, the first heating of the mold in the rotating device should be limited so that the capsule material does not melt and the gas-producing mixture does not react, i.e., so that significant inflation does not occur at this stage. The dried ball is then placed in the mold, which is immersed in boiling water for 15 minutes to achieve complete inflation before molding. During this second heating, the capsule material can melt and flow onto the inner surface of the ball, thus increasing the ball's impermeability to gases. Inflation can be achieved by supplying the mold with a gas at a specified pressure injected into the upper part of the mold after the mold is closed but before spinning and shearing of an aqueous suspension. If the suspension is then subjected to shearing, the ball produced will contain gas under pressure; In this case, the ball is vulcanized without removing it from the mold. After vulcanization, the ball is removed and dried in a stream of warm compressed air. Another method of inflating the ball involves producing the ball without inflating it and then inflating it by leaving it in compressed gas for a certain period of time, whereby the tendency to perforate later is reduced by treatment, for example with a rubber solution. This solution can also be used as a binder for gluing a felt coating or crushed felt or other material. Another method of inflating the ball involves using a hollow spherical mold, equipped with threaded plugs containing a sharpened wire protruding towards the center of the ball. A filler plug is mounted in position on this wire, having a core of a masticated rubber-resin mixture in a coating of untreated rubber and latex. After the ball has been formed, dried, and vulcanized as described herein, the product will incorporate the filler plugs as an integral part of its construction. For safety reasons, the threaded plug, wire, and filler plug may be separated and heated to a suitable temperature of approximately 100°C before the ball is made, then placed back into the spherical mold, after which the ball is formed as described. This heating procedure causes the rubber to settle better around the filling plug, which is thus more securely embedded in the wall of the device. Inflation can be achieved by introducing air or any other desired liquid medium through a hypodermic needle inserted in the filling plug. These devices can also be used to introduce a liquid material into the ball interior, suitable for creating a gas-tight coating, e.g., a mixture of gelatin and glycerin, wherein such material is distributed on the inner surface of the ball by rotating it manually or mechanically, with or without further application of heating. In this case, emulsions or suspensions consist of rubber, gutta-percha, balata or similar vegetable resins, whether occurring in nature or obtained artificially, or containing such resins. Such artificial aqueous suspensions may be suspensions of coagulated rubber, vulcanized rubber, synthetic rubber, waste or cuttings. If necessary, each of the above-mentioned suspensions may be used alone or in admixture with another. Each of the above-mentioned suspensions may contain conventionally known binders and/or may be in concentrated form. Concentrated suspensions, as described in British Patent Nos. 290,313 and 219,635, may also be used, to which one or more conventional binders may be added. Examples of substances used to prepare the above-mentioned suspensions and capable of coagulating under the influence of heat are sodium or potassium fluorosilicate, ammonium persulfate or reagents which, in a chemical reaction with each other under the influence of heat, produce "in situ" one or more substances acting as active coagulating agents, such as, for example, a mixture of sodium oxide and potassium persulfate. zinc sulfate with ammonium sulfate. An example of the method of producing balls for games according to the invention is given below. A rubber milk mixture is prepared from 60% rubber milk obtained by centrifugation with the following composition: rubber (in the form of rubber milk) 87.7 parts by weight, sulfur 1.5, tetramethylthiuram disulfide 0.30, mineral oil 5.0, lamp black 1.0, gas black 0.5 t, The solids content is approximately 45-50%. The rubber milk mixture is cooled to approximately 5°C. To 100 grams of this mixture is added 2.4 g 50% zinc oxide suspension and 4 cm3 of 25% aqueous ammonium sulfate solution, also pre-cooled. 72 g of this mixture is then poured into a ball-making mold, a paraffin capsule containing a moist mixture of sodium nitrite and ammonium chloride is also introduced. The mold is then closed and placed on a roller machine of the type containing two cylindrical rolls rotating in the same direction, the rolls simultaneously reciprocating in opposite directions with respect to each other along their horizontal axes. The rolls rotate (ideally) at a speed of approximately 24 revolutions per minute. When the roll has been rotating for 15-20 seconds, it is heated by blowing steam on it from a pipe for 2 The mold is then allowed to rotate for another minute. It is then cooled under water and opened. The ball is dried in an air stream at 45-50°C overnight and reinserted into the mold, which is then transferred to a small steam box. The ball is vulcanized for 15 minutes, with the steam in the outer jacket of the steam box being at a pressure of 5.75 kg per cm², and a weak stream of steam at atmospheric pressure is simultaneously passed through the steam box. The mold is then removed, cooled in water, opened, and the vulcanized, inflated ball is removed.
