Abstract

The envelope (1) has an access passage (9) to access an internal volume of the envelope. The passage is closed by a closure tape (11). The tape is fixed on the exterior of the envelope. A printed support and a detachable protection band of the tape are extended continuously from a longitudinal edge (4) opposite to another longitudinal edge (5) of the envelope. The band is unitary for being removed completely before folding the band over the envelope. Glue of the tape is extended by retracting longitudinal edges (13-4, 13-5) of the support and longitudinal edges (14-4, 14-5) of the band. An independent claim is also included for a method for continuous fabrication of sealed envelopes with welded edges.
