Description

Mozna jednak równiez postepowac w ten sposób, ze dodawane do barwnika srodki miesza sie oddzielnie w stanie mokrym wzglednie rozpuszcza i powyzsza miesza¬ nine suszy odpowiednimi znanymi sposo¬ bami. Otrzymuje sie wówczas bardzo trwa¬ le produkty o duzej sile redukcyjnej, któ¬ re zmieszane w taki sam prosty sposób z barwnikami siarkowymi wytwarzaja trwa¬ le preparaty barwników. Nowe te preparaty barwników sa nadzwyczaj trwa¬ le i latwe w uzyciu, poniewaz przez zwy¬ kle rozpuszczenie we wodzie otrzymuje sie odrazu gotowe do uzytku kapiele farbiar- skie; mozna je równiez stosowac do dru¬ kowania. Przyklad I. 86 czesci 100%-owego siarczku sodu miesza sie z 14 czesciami mrówczanu sodu.Przyklad II. 60 czesci 100% -owego wodorosiarczku sodu miesza sie z 26 cze¬ sciami 100% -owego siarczku sodu i 14 czesciami soli sodowej produktu siarkowa¬ nia fenolu.Przyklad III. 44 czesci 100%-owego wodorosiarczku sodu miesza sie z 19 cze¬ sciami 100% -owego siarczku sodu, 5 cze¬ sciami mrówczanu sodu, 9 czesciami soli sodowej prodiiktu siarkowania fenolu i 23czesciami fioletu imedialindonowego B wych lub mieszanin tychze znamienny tynit (CoilouT Index 1924, str. 355). ze zawiera dodatki o wlasciwosciach hi- groskopijnych, jak np. mrówczan sodu lub PLPreparations of sulfur dyes, used commercially and described in the literature, contain sulfur dye in a reduced state, that is, they are obtained by drying the reduced dye with an excess of reducing agent required for dyeing (namely sodium sulfide or sodium bisulfide). or mixtures of these). However, since sulfur dyes are usually sensitive to the action of strong alkalis, according to this method, depending on the operating conditions, products are obtained that differ between each other in the strength of dyeing and shade, and often very different in shade from the starting dye. It is therefore difficult to precisely adjust the shade and strength of the dye. Moreover, it is known that by mixing sulfur dyes with concentrated sodium sulphide it is possible to produce preparations which, when dissolved in water, can be used for dyeing without further additives. The preparations prepared in this way, however, have the disadvantage that they are unstable, since sodium sulphide decomposes rapidly in the air by oxidation. It has now been found that it is possible to make stable preparations of sulfur dyes without all the disadvantages mentioned, if the sulfur dyes are it is mixed with highly concentrated potassium sulphides or potassium sulphides, or mixtures of these, ensuring that the dry mixture is sufficiently hygroscopic, that is, in the wet state it has the lowest possible vapor pressure. In this way, it is achieved that when storing preparations in the air (in open barrels and cans), even with a thin layer, a solid outer layer is formed by attracting moisture from the air, preventing airing and protecting also parts of the preparation by reducing the surface area, protruding ¬ exposed to air, against rapid oxidation. The dye covered by the outer layer is thus protected against the action of oxygen in the air. Since the mixture of dye and potassium sulphides is normally not sufficiently hygroscopic, its hygroscopicity is increased with suitable additives which are very hygroscopic as such, or in a mixture with the dye and reducing agent, act in such a way as to increase the hygroscopicity of the preparation. Such additives are, for example, the potassium salt of weak inorganic or organic acids (e.g. sodium formate, potassium sulfuricide), aliphatic oxy-compounds (such as glycerol), and also potassium salts of aromatic hydroxyl compounds obtained by sulfurization, urea and the like. Often, it is advisable to use several additives at once. In some cases it is possible to use the appropriate method of the product to give the appropriate sulfur dyes in the manufacturing process the above hygroscopic properties, so that they are able to protect in some reducing agents are added to the extent to which the air is oxidized. In such cases, it is unnecessary to add other hygroscopic agents. Of course, even in such cases it is possible to increase the stability of the preparations by means of additives of the aforementioned type. The preparation of these new preparations consists in the simple mixing of the components in known mixing devices. However, it is also possible to add to The dye agents are mixed separately when wet or dissolved, and the above mixture is dried by any suitable known method. Very durable products are then obtained with a high reducing power, which, when mixed in the same simple manner with sulfur dyes, produce stable dye preparations. By not using water to make new formulations of sulfur dyes, it is largely achieved that the two components do not react with each other, thereby avoiding a change in the shade and strength of the dye in question. These new dye formulations are extremely durable and easy to use, since usually by dissolving in water immediately ready-to-use dyeing baths are obtained; they can also be used for printing. The sulfur dye preparations according to the invention can be produced according to the shades and strengths known in advance, i.e. the same as when using normal commercial sulfur dyes. Example I. 86 parts of 100% sodium sulfide are mixed with 14 parts of sodium formate. . 60 parts of 100% sodium hydrogen sulphide are mixed with 26 parts of 100% sodium sulphide and 14 parts of sodium salt of the product of phenol sulphation. Example III. 44 parts of 100% sodium bisulfide are mixed with 19 parts of 100% sodium sulfide, 5 parts of sodium formate, 9 parts of sodium phenol sulfurization prodiict, and 23 parts of imedialindone violet B or mixtures of the same characteristic tinite (Coilout Index 1924, p. 355). that it contains additives with hygroscopic properties, such as sodium formate or PL
