The essence of the mug according to the industrial design is its shape: a rounded shape, tapering towards the top, with an upward bulge in the middle increasing the coffee evaporation surface, and no handle. The mug according to the industrial design is made in a form resembling a barrel. Its diameter decreases towards the bottom and towards the top. The inside of the mug, at the base, has an upward bulge. By narrowing the diameter of the mug upward, the coffee aroma is better perceived by the drinker's nose. The bulge in the base increases the surface area for coffee evaporation during drinking. The diameter of the upper rim is measured to fit all drinkers. The mug has no handle intentionally to prevent the mug from being filled to the brim with hot coffee. Once filled to the brim, it becomes so hot that it cannot be lifted with a bare hand. A mug filled to the brim does not allow for the proper perception of the coffee aroma.
