Description

Opis wynalazkuDescription of the invention

The subject of the invention is a flue gas-air heating module intended for use in ventilation and heating units with a capacity of up to 100,000 m 3 /h, called ventilation and heating units, for heating rooms or for the needs of other devices or technologies, e.g. for drying products after the painting process.

Natomiast zbyt duża prędkość powoduje nadmierny spadek ciśnienia i prowadzi do erozji materiału rur. Heating modules or heat exchange systems, also known as furnaces or boilers, are used to heat fluids by exhaust gases generated in the combustion process of gaseous, liquid or solid fuel. They use at least one shell-and-tube heat exchanger, in which hot exhaust gases or combustion products flow inside the tubes, and the air to be heated flows past these tubes, washing them in the area of the heat exchanger shell. For some time now, thermal efficiency has become very important in the selection of heat exchanger parameters in boilers. In standard shell-and-tube exchangers with cross-flow at low flow rates, the heat exchange efficiency is at the level of 50-80%, depending on the design used. A very important parameter here is the pipe layout. The number and diameter of the pipes and their arrangement relative to each other are parameters that affect the fluid flow rate. Too low a flow rate is unfavorable for the heat transfer process and leads to faster deposition of contaminants on the surface of the pipes. On the other hand, too high a speed causes an excessive pressure drop and leads to erosion of the pipe material. These parameters are related to the length of the pipes and the total heat exchange surface. By appropriately selecting these parameters, it is possible to improve the heat exchange efficiency, but to a certain limit. In known design solutions, achieving efficiency above 80% in gas-gas shell-and-tube exchangers has proven to be very difficult to achieve.

W zgłoszeniu patentowym nr US 2021/0033351A1 ujawniono wymiennik płaszczowo-rurowy, w którym w celu polepszenia wymiany ciepła zastosowano dodatkowe żebra usytuowane śrubowo na powierzchni zewnętrznej rur. To rozwiązanie wymaga jednak dodatkowych komponentów i procesów co zwiększa koszty produkcji i powoduje, że proces produkcji trwa dłużej. W chińskim zgłoszeniu patentowym nr CN112129141 A ujawniono wymiennik płaszczowo-rurowy, w którym w celu polepszenia wymiany ciepła zastosowano dodatkowe przegrody. Dokument EP2038598 ujawnia wytwornicę gorącego gazu i instalację do suszenia zawierającą taką wytwornicę. Japońskie zgłoszenie patentowe nr JPS59210262 A ujawnia podgrzewacz ciepłego powietrza, zawierający pierwotny i wtórny wymiennik ciepła, przystosowany do schładzania spalin poniżej punktu rosy poprzez wspomniany wtórny wymiennik ciepła, wykorzystujący wiele rur przebiegających w obrębie komory spalania. Rozwiązanie to nie wymusza jednak konkretnej drogi przepływu spalin wewnątrz komory spalania, co nie doprowadza do zwiększenia wydajności procesu wymiany ciepła. Polskie zgłoszenie wzoru użytkowego nr W.118797 ujawnia kondensacyjną sekcję grzewczą do zastosowania w wymiennikowych lub kondensacyjnych nagrzewnicach powietrza wykorzystywanych na przykład do ogrzewania pomieszczeń. Ujawniona sekcja grzewcza zawiera komorę spalania połączoną z komorą odprowadzania spalin, z której to komory wychodzi zespół rur wymiennika ciepła wygiętych w kształt litery „U” i przebiega przez kanał przepływu powietrza do ogrzania. Polskie zgłoszenie wzoru użytkowego nr W.127767 ujawnia nagrzewnicę powietrzną opalaną paliwem stałym, zawierającą między innymi komorę paleniskową i wymiennik ciepła, utworzony z pionowo przebiegających rur. Rozwiązanie to zapewnia pojedynczą sekcję wymiennika ciepła, ograniczając przez to możliwość zwiększenia wydajności nagrzewnicy poprzez wstępne ogrzanie powietrza do ogrzania w osobnej, wstępnej sekcji wymiennika ciepła. Patent application No. US 2021/0033351A1 discloses a shell-and-tube heat exchanger in which additional fins arranged helically on the outer surface of the tubes are used to improve heat exchange. However, this solution requires additional components and processes, which increases production costs and causes the production process to take longer. Chinese patent application No. CN112129141 A discloses a shell-and-tube heat exchanger in which additional partitions are used to improve heat exchange. Also in this case, additional components are required, which extends the production time, increases the weight of the finished product and generates higher production costs. Document EP2038598 discloses a hot gas generator and a drying installation containing such a generator. The heat exchange system in this solution includes a number of pipes, collectors and means for regulating the fluid flow. This system is complicated, which generates relatively high costs and extends the production time. Japanese patent application No. JPS59210262 A discloses a warm air heater comprising a primary and secondary heat exchanger adapted to cool exhaust gases below the dew point by said secondary heat exchanger, using a plurality of pipes extending within the combustion chamber. However, this solution does not impose a specific exhaust gas flow path within the combustion chamber, which does not lead to an increase in the efficiency of the heat exchange process. Polish utility model application No. W.118797 discloses a condensing heating section for use in exchange or condensing air heaters used, for example, for heating rooms. The disclosed heating section comprises a combustion chamber connected to a chamber for exhaust gases, from which chamber a set of heat exchanger pipes bent in the shape of the letter "U" emerges and extends through the air flow channel to be heated. The proposed heat exchanger pipe system, as in the case of the previous cited publications, is characterized by a uniform distribution of pipes within the air flow channel, which also does not increase the efficiency achieved by the air heating device in relation to standard solutions. Polish utility model application No. W.127767 discloses a solid fuel fired air heater, comprising, among other things, a combustion chamber and a heat exchanger formed of vertically running pipes. This solution provides a single heat exchanger section, thereby limiting the possibility of increasing the heater's efficiency by preheating the air to be heated in a separate, preliminary heat exchanger section. Polish utility model application No. W.114472 discloses a gas air heater, comprising a two-stage, flame, tubular heat exchanger located within the air heating channel, at the inlet of which an axial fan is located, forcing the air to be heated through the said heat exchanger. The system proposed in this application, like some of the previous cited documents, is characterised by the use of only one heat exchanger section with an evenly distributed pipe system, which limits the possibility of multi-stage heating of the flowing air, leading to noticeable losses in the efficiency of the heating process. The closest prior art is U.S. patent application No. US4860725A. It discloses a condensing furnace comprising a burner using a fuel fluid such as oil or gas, which furnace comprises a heat exchanger in the form of a plurality of tubes in fluid communication with a combustion chamber and an exhaust gas outlet, particularly adapted to efficiently discharge liquid condensed from the exhaust gases as they flow through the heat exchanger. However, the uniform distribution of the heat exchanger tubes in said invention also prevents the achievement of higher than standard efficiency of the heat exchange process.

The aim of the present invention is to provide a heating module that achieves higher heat exchange efficiency compared to known heating modules without increasing production costs and without using additional elements that extend the production process compared to prior art solutions. The essence of the invention is a heating module 1, comprising a jacket 2, a first frontal section 3 and a second frontal section 4, jointly defining a closed working space 5. In the lower part of the working space 5 there is a combustion chamber 6 having on one side an air inlet 7 and on the other side an exhaust gas outlet 8, jointly defining a flow direction A from the air inlet 7 to the exhaust gas outlet 8. The combustion chamber is known from the prior art and may contain standard gas or oil burners. In addition, the combustion chamber may contain appropriate equipment necessary for conducting and regulating the combustion process, such as an air blower, which may be controlled by a controller in connection with appropriate temperature sensors depending on the required parameters, an ignition device, etc. Above the combustion chamber 6 and partly on the sides of the combustion chamber 6, there are a number of pipes 9 located between the first frontal section 3 and the second frontal section 4 parallel to the flow direction A and to each other. The pipes 9 are arranged at least in a first pipe section F1, in a second pipe section F2, and in a third pipe section F3, arranged one above the other. Advantageously, the pipes 9 are permanently attached, preferably in a fluid-tight manner, welded or brazed with their ends respectively to the openings in the first frontal section 3 and in the second frontal section 4, thus creating on the one hand a space for the exhaust gases from the exhaust gas outlet 8 from the combustion chamber 6 through the internal space of the pipes 9 and the internal spaces of the first and second frontal sections 3, 4 to the exhaust gas discharge to the flue duct 15 outside the heating module 1. On the other hand, the external surfaces of the pipes 9 and the internal surface of the casing 2 and the surfaces of the first and second frontal sections 3, 4 facing each other, in places beyond the attached ends of the pipes 9, create a space for air or another process fluid to flow over the external surface of the pipes 9 in order to exchange heat or heat, i.e. receive thermal energy from the exhaust gases flowing inside the pipes 9. Said heating may be necessary in order to evaporate moisture from the heated air. Advantageously, the pipes 9 are made of metal, advantageously of boiler steel, and are arranged substantially uniformly in the horizontal direction, seen in cross-section, in the second pipe section F2 and in the third pipe section F3, at equal distances from each other. Advantageously, in the first pipe section F1 the pipes 9 are arranged on the sides of the combustion chamber 6, substantially at a height corresponding to the upper half of the combustion chamber 6. The geometry of the arrangement of the pipes 9 relative to each other in cross-section, perpendicular to the flow direction A, in the first pipe section F1, in the second pipe section F2 and in the third pipe section F3 is different. The number of pipes 9 in the third pipe section F3 is greater than the number of pipes 9 in the second pipe section F2 and the number of pipes 9 in the second pipe section F2 is greater than the number of pipes 9 in the first pipe section F1. The third pipe section F3 comprises from 38 to 42 pieces of pipes 9, preferably 40 pieces of pipes 9, the second pipe section F2 comprises from 28 to 32 pieces of pipes 9, preferably 30 pieces of pipes 9, and the first pipe section F1 comprises from 19 to 21 pieces of pipes 9, preferably 20 pieces of pipes 9. The diameters of the pipes in the first pipe section F1, in the second pipe section F2, and in the third pipe section F3, respectively, do not substantially differ from each other. Preferably, the pipes 9 in a given row are spaced apart from each other such that in the cross-section the centers of the cross-sections of the pipes 9 are spaced apart from each other by a distance of 150% to 250% of the pipe diameter, more preferably 170% to 230% of the pipe diameter 9, most preferably 200% of the pipe diameter 9 in the given section. In the present description, rows of pipes 9 are understood to mean horizontal rows of pipes 9. In subsequent rows, the pipes 9 may be offset relative to each other so that, viewed in the flow direction A, the pipes 9 in the subsequent row are located between the pipes in the previous row. Preferably, the centers of the cross-sections of two pipes 9 in a given row and of one cross-section of the pipe 9 located between them in the adjacent row form a triangle, the angles of which characterize the geometry of the arrangement of the pipes 9 in the cross-section in the first pipe section F1, the second pipe section F2 and the third pipe section F3. Preferably, the jacket 2 comprises side walls 11, 12, a top 13 and a bottom 14. The jacket 2 may be made of metal elements, preferably of boiler steel, welded together, or it may be bent from one sheet metal and welded only along one edge. Advantageously, the bottom 14 is bent downwards to form a recess parallel to the flow direction A for the combustion chamber 6 or under the combustion chamber 6. Advantageously, the first head section 3 comprises a first chamber C1 and a third chamber C3, and the second head section 4 comprises a second chamber C2 and a fourth chamber C4. Advantageously, each part or chamber of the first head section 3 or the second head section 4, respectively, flow-connects the interiors of the pipes of adjacent pipe sections, while separating these spaces from the surroundings. The first head section 3 and the second head section 4 may comprise inspection openings for carrying out periodic inspections, cleaning or repairs of the pipes 9. Advantageously, the inspection openings are releasably and tightly attached to the respective head section, e.g. by means of bolted connections and suitable seals. Advantageously, the combustion chamber 6 is made in the form of a cylinder of boiler steel sheet welded along one edge. The combustion chamber 6 may also be made in the form of an elongated regular polyhedron, bent from one sheet of metal or composed of individual walls welded together, with the longitudinal axis parallel to the flow direction A. The heating module 1 may comprise more than three pipe sections, arranged one above the other. The exhaust gas outlet 8 is preferably in fluid communication with a first chamber C1 of a first header section 3, which in turn is in fluid communication with the internal spaces of the pipes of a first tube section F1, which in turn is in fluid communication with a second chamber C2 of a second header section 4, which in turn is in fluid communication with the internal spaces of the pipes of a second tube section F2, which in turn is in fluid communication with a third chamber C3 of a first header section 3, which in turn is in fluid communication with the internal spaces of the pipes of a third tube section F3, which in turn is in fluid communication with a fourth chamber C4 of a second header section 4, which in turn is in fluid communication with the flue duct 15, the first chamber C1 and the third chamber C3 of the first header section 3 and the second chamber C2 and the fourth chamber C4 of the second header section 4 being separated from each other in a fluid-tight manner by a header section partition 10, respectively. As a result of the research conducted on the present invention, it was unexpectedly discovered that when the pipes were used in a certain arrangement relative to each other, the heat exchange efficiency increased significantly.
