Description

Opis wynalazkuDescription of the invention

The subject of the invention is a system for cleaning acid-resistant steel rings constituting the filling of tubular aerators and a method of cleaning these rings using the system according to the invention.

Pipe aerators used in water supply stations for water aeration are filled with acid-resistant steel rings. During the operation of the water supply station, the rings become overgrown with iron oxides (sediment), which leads to their clogging. This phenomenon is unfavorable for the correct operation of the water supply station, because it causes a reduction in throughput and an increase in hydraulic resistance in the aerator. Therefore, it is necessary to remove the formed sediments from the surface of the rings in order to prevent the aerators from becoming completely clogged.

Nauk. Inż. Kszt. Śród. 2 (48), 2010: 75-87).There is a known method of cleaning pipe aerators filled with acid-resistant steel rings using water and compressed air. However, a much better result is obtained using chemical cleaning, which consists in removing the rings from the aerator and washing them in diluted oxalic acid. Usually, mechanical cleaning with raw water with a pulsating air stream, with a high flow, is used once a quarter, and chemical cleaning once a year (M. Kalenik, D. Morawski, The Scientific and Research Water Supply Station of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences has been 35 years, Prz. Nauk. Eng. Kszt. Środ. 2 (48), 2010: 75-87).

Inna metoda chemicznego oczyszczania pierścieni została przedstawiona w publikacji (D. Morawski, Alternatywna metoda regeneracji pierścieni Białeckiego stanowiących wypełnienie aeratorów rurowych, Gaz, woda i technika sanitarna, (5), 2012: 233-237). Zgodnie z tą metodą do czyszczenia chemicznego zastosowano chemiczny środek do usuwania osadów wapiennych, oparty na organicznych kwasach (kwas cytrynowy), z dodatkiem niejonowego środka powierzchniowo czynnego. Another method of chemical cleaning of rings was presented in the publication (D. Morawski, Alternative method of regeneration of Białecki rings constituting the filling of pipe aerators, Gaz, woda i technik sanita, (5), 2012: 233-237). According to this method, a chemical agent for removing lime deposits, based on organic acids (citric acid), with the addition of a non-ionic surfactant, was used for chemical cleaning. The rings were cleaned in a transparent column in a closed flow system, with the intensity of 10 dm 3 /min and with a 20% concentration of the aqueous solution of the agent, at a temperature of 16°C and with the pH of the solution maintained at the level of 4+5. The total time of cleaning the rings was about 4 hours, which in comparison to cleaning with water and compressed air is about 5% of the cleaning time. Cleaning was carried out in one or two stages. In the second case, it was necessary to replace the entire volume of the aqueous solution of the cleaning agent after about an hour of system operation.

Konieczność periodycznego usuwania osadów wymaga wymiany środka czyszczącego i wydłuża czas czyszczenia. Układ według wynalazku pozwala rozwiązać ten problem. In known methods, there is no possibility of continuous removal of deposits formed during the ring cleaning process. The need for periodic removal of deposits requires the replacement of the cleaning agent and extends the cleaning time. The system according to the invention allows to solve this problem.

A system for cleaning acid-resistant steel rings that are a filling of pipe aerators by means of a chemical cleaning method, using a closed flow through a reaction column containing cleaned rings, according to the invention is characterized in that the reaction column is connected in series with at least two sedimentation columns and with a cleaning agent tank and a compressor, wherein the sedimentation columns are connected in series by means of pipelines placed at different heights so as to cause gravitational flow, and a pressure pump is connected between the cleaning agent tank and the reaction column, and air is supplied to the reaction column from the compressor via a pipeline and discharged to the outside through a vent. The flow rate of the cleaning agent through the system is in the range from 0.0015 to 0.025 m/s, and the air flow rate is in the range from 0.2 to 0.5 m 3 /h. Preferably, the reaction column and the sedimentation columns are transparent. It is also advantageous to supply air to the reaction chamber and then discharge it through a vent to the outside.

Any known preparation for chemical cleaning of acid-resistant steel rings used to fill aerators can be used as a cleaning agent in the system, and aqueous solutions of oxalic acid and/or citric acid, optionally in combination with surfactants, are preferably used.

Inside the reaction column there are grids 37, 38 for supporting the rings 16.

Układ według wynalazku działa w następujący sposób.The system according to the invention works as follows.

Do zbiornika 1 wlewamy środek czyszczący i zasypujemy przezroczystą kolumnę 17, pierścieniami 16 pokrytymi osadem. Najpierw, wykorzystując urządzenie do pomiaru natężenia przepływu 7 i zawór 5 ustawiamy przepływ środka czyszczącego (Qr) przez przezroczystą kolumnę reakcji 17 i poszczególne przezroczyste kolumny sedymentacji osadów 22, 24, 26, 28, 30 z prędkością mniejszą niż 0,025 m/s. Następnie, wykorzystując urządzenie do pomiaru natężenia przepływu 13 i zawór 12 ustawiamy przepływ powietrza (Qp) przez przezroczystą kolumnę reakcji 17 z natężeniem przepływu mniejszym niż 0,05 m3/h. We pour the cleaning agent into the tank 1 and fill the transparent column 17 with rings 16 covered with sediment. First, we open the valve 8 and turn on the pump 3, which pumps the cleaning agent (Qr) into the transparent reaction column 17. Then we open the valve 12 and turn on the compressor 10, which pumps air (Qp) into the transparent reaction column 17. During the flow of the cleaning agent together with air (Qr+Qp) through the reaction column 17, a process of slow removal of sediments from the surface of the rings 16 takes place. The sediments together with the cleaning agent (Qro) flow through the pipeline 21 to the first sediment sedimentation column 22. On the other hand, the air (Qp) flows through the vent 19 through the pipeline 20 to the first sediment sedimentation column 22, from which it escapes into the atmosphere. First, using the flow rate measuring device 7 and valve 5, we set the flow of cleaning agent (Qr) through the transparent reaction column 17 and the individual transparent sedimentation columns 22, 24, 26, 28, 30 at a speed of less than 0.025 m/s. Then, using the flow rate measuring device 13 and valve 12, we set the air flow (Qp) through the transparent reaction column 17 at a flow rate of less than 0.05 m 3 /h. In the sedimentation columns 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, which are connected in series by means of pipelines 23, 25, 27, 29 placed at different heights, gravity flow occurs. During the flow of the cleaning agent together with the sediment (Qro) through the sedimentation columns 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, sediments (O) fall to the bottom, and the cleaning agent (Qr) cleaned of sediments returns to the tank 1 via the pipeline 31. After cleaning the rings 16, the valves 8 and 12 are closed and the pump 3 and compressor 10 are switched off, and then the transparent sedimentation columns 22, 24, 26, 28, 30 are emptied of sediments using the valves 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, and the tank 1 is emptied of the cleaning agent using the valve 40. The cleaned acid-resistant steel rings 16 are removed from the transparent column 17 via the manhole 15 and reused in the pipe aerators.
