Description of the invention

The subject of the invention is a method of protecting compact prints against counterfeiting used when printing publications consisting of more than one sheet of paper.

Today's development of printing techniques makes it possible to counterfeit virtually any print in a way that is impossible or almost impossible to identify.

This leads to the reproduction or printing of various types of publications by people who have no right to do so.

There was a need to eliminate or at least significantly limit this practice and to facilitate the identification and distinction of authentic printouts from counterfeits.

The aim of the invention was achieved by applying a black or coloured identification code to the printout pages, which is a sequence of numbers or letters or graphic elements or a compilation of such characters, with the editorial page containing information on the location of the code.

The code is applied to one side of the printout cards or to both sides.

The code is applied using offset or digital printing techniques and is visible in any place.

The code is applied using offset or digital printing techniques, preferably CIJ, in a manner that is invisible or visible in daylight or visible under UV light.

The code is applied to each card or to randomly selected print cards at fixed or variable numerical intervals.

The code, which is a sequence of numbers or letters or graphic elements or a compilation of these characters, is applied as a constant for the entire edition or as a randomly variable code for the entire edition or variable for each copy.

The method of securing compact prints against counterfeiting according to the invention is cheap and easy to implement using standard printing devices.

A method of securing compact prints against counterfeiting used when printing publications consisting of more than one sheet, characterized in that in any place on one or both sides, each or randomly selected in a fixed or randomly variable numerical interval of the sheet (1), a black or colored identification code (2, 2a) is applied using an offset or digital technique, preferably CIJ, constituting a sequence of numbers or letters or graphic elements or a compilation of these characters in such a way that the code (2, 2a) is invisible or is visible in daylight or is visible in UV light, wherein the sequence of numbers or letters or graphic elements or a compilation of these characters in codes (2a, 2a) is applied as a constant code for the entire edition or as a randomly variable code in the edition or as a variable code for each copy in the edition, and the editorial page (3) contains general information on the location of the security code.
