Description

Przedmiotem wynalazku jest laminat metal-węgiel i sposób wytwarzania laminatu metal-węgiel.The subject of the invention is a metal-carbon laminate and a method of producing a metal-carbon laminate.

The most commonly known metal-fiber laminates are aluminum-based laminates with epoxy layers infused with glass, aramid, and carbon fibers. Currently, laminates called Glare®, based on an aluminum alloy with a polymer layer infused with glass fibers, are used in aviation. However, new technological and material solutions are being sought to reduce operating costs, particularly in the aviation and space industries, where fuel is expensive. Furthermore, the goal is for new materials to be lighter than previous ones while maintaining the same or even better strength and corrosion properties.

European patent description No. EP2576212 B1 describes a layered material comprising a fibrous, filamentary, particle or foam layer, wherein the fibers or continuous fibers are arranged parallel or perpendicular to each other.

A beneficial effect of the invention is that a metal-carbon laminate with high resistance and absorption properties to low-velocity impacts and anti-corrosion properties is obtained. The applied layer containing glass fibers filled with a self-healing agent and microcapsules inhibits the development of cracks in the laminate, and after 24 hours, the laminate achieves self-healing. Furthermore, the polyester nonwoven layer additionally acts as an absorption layer against impacts. The addition of nanotubes to the microcapsules acts as a reinforcement for the self-healing layers.

Then, the microcapsules and carbon nanotubes were manually coated with a thermoplastic resin, and a second self-healing layer 4 with a thickness of 0.4 mm was obtained. Then, on one of the sheets 6 of a 1 mm thick nickel-titanium alloy having on both surfaces a ceramic layer 5 of 12 μm thickness and a second self-healing layer 4 of 0.4 mm thickness, two layers of a thermoplastic composite based on carbon fibers 2 in the 0°/90° orientation direction, each 0.04 mm thick, were applied, onto which were deposited microcapsules of 100 μm size, each consisting of a polyurethane coating of toluene diisocyanate polyisocyanurate in ethyl acetate in an amount of 48.8% by weight and a filler of isophorone diisocyanate in an amount of 51.2% by weight and carbon nanotubes of 100 nm size, wherein the microcapsules were mixed with the nanotubes in a ratio of 1:25. The microcapsules and carbon nanotubes were then manually coated with a thermoplastic resin to obtain a second self-healing layer 4 with a thickness of 0.4 mm. A 1 mm thick layer of glass fibers filled with isophorone diisocyanate in a 90° orientation was then applied to the second self-healing layer 4, which was manually laminated with a thermoplastic resin to obtain a first self-healing layer 3 with a thickness of 2 mm, consisting of glass fibers filled with isophorone diisocyanate and bonded with a thermoplastic resin. Two layers of a carbon fiber-based thermoplastic composite 2 in a 0°/90° orientation with a thickness of 0.04 mm each were then applied to the first self-healing layer 3, on which a layer of polyester nonwoven fabric 1 with a basis weight of 339 g/m 2 and a thickness of 8 mm was applied. Then, two layers of a carbon fiber-based thermoplastic composite 2 with a thickness of 0.04 mm each were applied to the polyester non-woven fabric layer 1 in a 0°/90° orientation, followed by a 1 mm thick layer of glass fibers filled with isophorone diisocyanate in a 90° orientation, which was laminated manually with a thermoplastic resin, to obtain a 2 mm thick self-healing first layer 3 consisting of glass fibers filled with isophorone diisocyanate and bonded with a thermoplastic resin. Next, two layers of carbon fiber-based thermoplastic composite 2 were applied in a 0°/90° orientation, each 0.04 mm thick. This was followed by the application of a second sheet 6 made of a nickel-titanium alloy, with a 12 μm-thick ceramic layer 5 on both surfaces and a second self-healing layer 4, 0.4 mm thick. The entire assembly was then placed on an aluminum mold and, using a vacuum pack, air was extracted to a negative pressure of -0.08 MPa. Czas procesu wynosił 3 minuty, a napięcie do 450 V ± 46 V i częstotliwość 30 Hz.
