Abstract

The invention pertains to a casing (3) with a brush (4) for a floor-cleaning device (1), such as a motor-driven carpet-brush, where the brush (4) has a radial clear space or a radial projection (14). To provide an optimal way to replace a brush, the invention proposes that the casing (3) have a tubular containment space (10) for the brush (4), that in the containment space (10) there is a radially inwardly projecting locking means (8) to engage in the clear space or cooperate with the projection (14), that the locking means (8) can be overrun only in one direction and that the containment space (10) is open or can be opened at its two ends (11, 12).
