Abstract

A sheet-steel door, especially a fire-door, with a box structure (1) forming one large face of the door leaf and a cover (2) forming the other large side which is secured at its edge regions (3) to outwardly projecting strips (4) in the box-section edges parallel to the plane of the large faces, in which an edge section of the edge regions (3) of the cover (2) or of the edge strips of the box-section edges to form the contact region of a fold (7) is angled towards the box section (1) and extends over the connecting region (5). Said sheet-steel door is designed for substantially easier handling and a better joint between the box section and the cover in that the edge section (6) has a first bend forming a web (8), the width of which determines the top of the fold, and a second bend forming the contact region (9) which projects over the connecting region (5) at a distance of about the web width.
