Abstract

The invention concerns a window (1), in particular a skylight, with a pivoting window casement (2) with an edge strip (5) which extends down over the face of the frame (6) like a hood. The invention proposes that, in order to ensure a particularly practical design, the window is fitted with a closure flap (8) disposed along the window edge remote from the hinge axis (4), between the cornice (5) and the window frame (3), and controlled by the pivoting movement of the window casement (2). When the window is in the closed position, the enclosure flap (8) extends in an upright position along aeration apertures (9) in the window casement (2).
