Abstract

The invention concerns a metal container unit for a non-round container with a lid beaded onto the upper border (3), the side wall (2) being provided with a shoulder (1a, 1b); in at least one part of those regions which seen in plan are elongated or less sharply bent than other regions, a first shoulder (1a) is closer to the upper border (3) of the container than a second shoulder (1b) in the other areas; the shoulders are formed (seen in cross-section and from bottom to top) by an outward circular arch followed by an inward circular arch.
