Abstract

The invention relates to a shaped clamping jaw for a clamping device with a clamping frame (12), a plurality of clamping rams (20, 20') arranged in parallel transversely to the plane of the frame and movable independently of one another and a clamping mechanism (26) pressing the clamping rams together inside the clamping frame (12). In order to ensure that the clamping rams (20, 20') are uniformly secured inside the clamping frame (12), the invention proposes that the clamping rams be stressed longitudinally and transversely inside the rectangular clamping frame by means of the clamping mechanism.
