Abstract

The invention relates to an illuminating body for swimming pools, whirlpools, garden ponds and/or steam rooms of all types comprised of a built-in housing (10) having a transparent covering lid (12), a current feed (15) and an illuminating means. Light emitting diodes (13) which are preferably arranged on the mirror-coated profile sections (14) are used as illuminating means especially in order to decrease the overall height of such an illuminating body.
