Abstract

The horizontal food wrapping machine has conveyors for the unwrapped and wrapped food connected by a support area. In this area support surfaces (13) are moved at right angles to the direction of the conveyors so that they nip together the edges of plastic sheet (7) fed from above around the food (6). They are then pressed together and welded by rollers (5).
