Abstract

The invention relates to an adjustable partition, especially a fire wall, used in the construction industry. Said partition is used to seal openings in the walls of buildings. The inventive partition is fitted parallel to the wall (1) of the building. Normally, said partition is located outside the opening (2). The partition is provided with a steel supporting frame consisting of at least two parallel girders (3,4) which are joined by cross members (5). Insulating filling (6) is arranged between the girders (3,4). The cross members (5) are introduced into through channels (7) which are hollowed out of the insulating filling (6). A plaster-coated (9) reinforcing net structure (8) is disposed on the lateral surfaces of the filling (6).
