Abstract

To clean extractor hoods the interior space (5) of the extractor hood, including the rear wall of an impingement collector (3), is at intervals sprayed with cleaning water by means of a spraying device (13). The cleaning water is evacuated from a collecting pit (14) at the bottom of the interior space (5).
