Abstract

The invention concerns a multipurpose furniture item comprising a folding bed (40) including a head frame (18) and a foot frame (22) pivotably mounted to the head frame. A table top (28) is fixed to the side of the foot frame (22) forming the lower surface of the foot frame (22) when the bed is folded down. Said table top (28) covers one edge of the lower surface of the head frame (18) such that, when the bed is folded, said table top forms a table for convenient use. The table can be completely folded into the mount (34). Another bed (38) is placed above on the mount so as to be perpendicular to the folding bed.
