Okazalo sie obecnie, ze znacznie lep¬ sze wynika uzyskuje sie stosujac zamiast .su¬ rowców roslinnych ekstrakty garbnikowe z tych roslin, a nawet wyodrebnione z nich chemicz¬ nie czyste zwiazki garbnikowe w rodzaju taniny, pyrogallolu i innych.Nalezy zaznaczyc, ze zarówno powyzej wspom¬ niane ekstrakty garbnikowe jak i chemicznie czyste zwiazki garbnikowe sa calkowicie nie¬ szkodliwe dla zdrowia i zastosowane do farb miedziowych zapewniaja uzyskanie stale jed¬ nakowych odcieni wlosów farbowanych, gdyz nie zachodzi obawa ich przedawkowania, co ma cze¬ sto miejsce przy dodawaniu surowca roslinnego.
